    Dumping products? have we ever heard Chinese people complain that the West is dumping luxury and agricultural product to China where locals producers would face competition, just because the West can't compete doesn't give them the right to complain, this is capitalism 101.

      @@Cactus_hug in 1999 while working in Edinburgh I went to a talk by a journalist who spent a lot of time in Serbia back in the war. I also have worked with British soldiers that were just 19 or so and served there.
      That whole war in Europe is conveniently forgotten about. Buried. Never happened!

    U guys should revamp your choice of words or go vack to school. Rather than using cheaper, it should be affordable. Its no longer the cheap product americans used to manufactured in china but of good quality 100% chinese made

    @mrm7058. countries have permanent interest but not friends except for the Chinese who have long memories. The PRC ( People's Republic of China) whatever it may call itself is more Confucianist than Communist and Confucianism values loyalty above everything else .Examples of its behavior can be seem in its relationship with Serbia,Pakistan,Cambodia and Tanzania.All these countries were the earliest to recognise The PRC when nobody would do so and in return China has always stood by them come rain or shine

      nice try, China treats countries like equals regardless of their size.... Always have. One interesting African ex-politician said in the 1990's Chinese would pull out the red carpet for small poor countries. When the same African countries went to the US, the US politician told them to get out of their faces.

      Because the US has military bases all over the place plus all over the world. Just look at the tiny percentage owned by China, compared to those owned by Canada. The real question is - why does the US have so many military bases half way round the world from its own territory, surrounding China.

    Problem with EU, in one hand cut out cheap energy from Russia and the other hand try to the coupling from it's largest trading partner that's China, to me this would be the economic suicide that they are walking towards.

    The proxy wars in the Middle East that the US has been conducting has resulted in irreparable damage to the EU. Racially and culturally speaking the US and EU are much closer, but there’s no way China wouldn’t be a better ally, especially if they decide to collaborate on tech. It sucks to say that, but that alliance would be the best for Europes future.

When you’re a nation that big with that many different people you need to be an “authoritarian regime” to maintain order. Even us in the west aren’t in a libertarian utopia where freedom is of utmost priority.
      I’ll take China doing all that over the US funding countless proxy wars, needlessly toppling stable countries and creating MILLIONS of Muslim refugees that are flooding the west. If that wasn’t bad enough the US is the biggest pusher of the progressive agenda that’s currently destroying the west. That’s without taking into account how the US pushes terrible monetary policies or wars for resources.

    Mercedes Benz and BMW have both announced in the last month an expansion of their manufacturing in China. One third of worldwide sales for those cars are in China, as are one third of their profits. So German companies are not only welcome, but are in China and thriving. What's the problem??

      A professional journalist should know how to pronounce correctly the name of country leaders. Ask a Chinese how to say correctly "Xi". It is close to "c" or "see", certainly not "she".

      Depends where the person you learnt Chinese came from. She or see is acceptable. BTW back in the 1990’s I met plenty of locals in Xiamen speaking with a Mancunian accent coz they learnt from a Stockport window cleaner masquerading as an English teacher

    Flooding the market with Chinese products not good for their industry shows they are becoming less competitive ,people dont mind it because their country cannot provide cheaper alternative,and the biggest problem is their colonial mindset thats why its said India is a rising power because these Europeans are going to fall over each other not to forget with big daddy US
