Oh my word he was a character and a half. He gave me Margot the freedom to laugh and enjoy her dancing and she deserved it. From across the miles their talents met and it was pure joy. No matter of luck it was meant to be.
Чудесная пара, идущие в одну сторону, смотрящие в одну сторону, удивительная слаженность движений и четкость линий, две Мегазвезды мировооо балета! Они неповторимы, как жаль, что их уже нет с нами... Светлая память❤❤

@@hisukserjeant5204 Yes yes! Well said. I love watching his face , those eyes and expressions, and his speech all as beautifully controlled as his dance-a magnificent higher intelligence combined with generosity of spirit! I’ve seen the arrest scene in another upload which includes a few more seconds of his silence towards the press, and I love watching all of it over and over-his royal presence and subtle smile when he plays with the camera! I swoon❤️
@@hisukserjeant5204 Margot also had the incredible graciousness, and humility, that enabled her to weather all of the abuse she got from Rudolf during rehearsals. Notoriety of M Fonteyn is because she danced with the most famous dancer of twentieth century Noureev and not Notoriety by her only talent . Without Noureev M Fonteyn is unknown to day !

I cant believe how bad fonteyn's technique is here. Her feet and legs are so awful. Hard to look at. So unaesthetic. She isnt even up on her feet. Her feet are so weak and unarched and flat and the weight distributed backwards it's miraculous she can even move on them or do the steps. Her legs are so unstraight, so undelineated. Her arabesque penche is a truncated horror - so choppy and not fully extending. Of course she is alot better than the tape shows at a certain point in time. But her dominance, created by de valois and others, to the exclusion of other british ballerinas was so so so so wrong
Lady, have a few seats in a sports arena. You couldn't do a 1/16 th of what she did . Jealousy is very unbecoming of anyone. Even YOUR FAVOURITE dancers never achieved perfection 😐😒😒😒 Thanks for playing bish 😋

Rudi just being silent and looking directly into the cameras is magnificent.

A dress rehearsal at Covent Garden with Margot and Rudi.Thank you for sharing this gem.
Her arms were just exquisite....she was perfectly proportioned.....loved the foot flutter, too......they were perfectly.matched.....
Какая красота!!Как важно,,чтобы и по физическим данным танцовщик подходили.У Рудольфа этот критерий тоже на высоте,полная гармония!
Without Margot Fonteyn the Royal Ballet would have had a hard time. In 1949 her Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty made them famous overnight!
