    --------------------------------------
The 40V max XGT Brushless 1-1/8 in. AVT Rotary Hammer Kit (GRH07M1) is a cordless concrete solution engineered for heavy-load applications. It delivers the power, speed, and run-time for corded demands, and features a convenient D-handle design that is ideal for overhead, downward or hard-to-reach horizontal drilling/chipping applications. The Makita-built brushless motor delivers a full 2.7 ft. lbs. of impact energy, with 0-980 RPM and 0-5,000 BPM. Constant speed control automatically applies additional power under load for optimum performance. It's equipped with Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT), which electronically turns off the motor if rotation of bit is suddenly forced to stop, and Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) for reduced vibration. More than just a padded handle, AVT is an internal counterbalance that uses air pressure to move counterweight pistons in the opposite direction of the drive piston to actively reduce vibration. In addition, the vibration-absorbing back handle and side handle further reduce vibration. For added durability in harsh job site conditions, Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance.
Outpower: Makita-built brushless motor along with 40V max XGT battery combine to deliver the power performance required for heavy-load application
Outsmart: constant speed control automatically applies additional power under load for optimum performance
Outlast: overload protection is designed to protect the motor from burnout in abnormally high torque situations
Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT) electronically turns off the motor if rotation of bit is suddenly forced to stop
Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) is designed to reduce vibration for increased comfort
Dust extraction capability with optional OSHA Table 1 compliant on-board HEPA Dust Extractor or stand-alone AWS Extractor
Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) which utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication between tool and dust extractor (AWS Transmitter sold separately)
Electric brake allows the tool to be repositioned faster for maximum productivity
Torque limiting clutch engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging gears during a bind-up situation
Variable speed trigger enables user to match the speed to the application
D-handle design is ideal for overhead, downward or hard-to-reach horizontal drilling/chipping applications
Ergonomic soft-grip handle and large 2-finger trigger provide increased comfort on the job
Built-in L.E.D. light with an independent on/off illuminates the work area
Tethering loop/hanging hook helps secure the tool when working at heights or on a lift (sold separately)
3-mode operation for rotation only, hammering with rotation or hammering only for multiple applications
Multiple bit angles allow the bit to be set at different positions for increased comfort
Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is engineered for improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions
Digital communication within XGT optimizes performance to provide up to 2X longer sustained power under heavy-load applications

As a DIYer I almost ignored the video. I find that affordable makita tools are usually the brushed variety. Good to see that this tool performs as it is priced. I am so happy with my bosch sds pick up on clearance at lowes. I have used only once but sure is nice to have. Keep up the good work!

Man I thought you went incognito bro😂. Idk what’s going on with CZcams but I haven’t got a notification for your channel since the recip blade tests. Glad to see a series on the sds brother. I’ll sure be catching up on the videos. I checked my post notifications for your channel and everything is checked man. Idk what’s up with CZcams. Take care my friend

What a nice D handle rotary hammer. In general I like the XGT lineup but it's too rich for my blood LOL.
Could you do an SDS Plus to regular hammer drill comparison? I was one of those guys who said I didn't need a rotary hammer, my hammer drill is all I need.
But when I started remodeling my house I realized it was too much for my hammer drill (even if it's mid to high torque) and pulled the trigger on the Bosch GBH18V-26D I found on clearance. What a difference!

Yeah we have one planned, but just bc it can doesn’t mean the drill performance or user experience is the same.
