      LOL and its something because Reggie NEVER backed down. As a Chicago fan it's what I always respected about him. Back then, even with MJ and Scottie and Tony, you did NOT want Indiana to have the last shot. More so than even with MJ. Reggie was just that clutch.

      kokolatte825 She DID go down as one of the greatest! By EVERY account she is considered the GREATEST Woman Player EVER and LITERALLY at here is not one person or former player male or female that has ever disputed that fact! From Lisa Leslie to Cheryl swoops to sue bird to Diana tirade to Michael Jordan, to Barkley, Magic and Isaiah to Larry Bird to Kobe and Shaq are all on record saying so and that’s just a small list out of many. She is recognized by everyone as the greatest female player ever and as far as overall skill set, top 3 or 5 basketball player male OR female hands down. Her records I. High school college and abroad STILL stand plus an Olympic gold medal, 3 NCAA back to back championships at USC and 105 points in high school game were she was actually passing the ball to her teammates and did not play the last 2 minutes of the game! At USC she averaged MORE than 25 plus points AND 20 plus rebounds ALL FOUR YEARS, in fact her WORSE year in college was her freshman year, 23.5ppg, 9.7 rpg while shooting over 51% from the damn field and more than 85-90% from the free throw!! She shot ABOVE 55% the next 3 years and average 13 rpg: she shot 61% from the field her senior year! NOBODY male or female has done it all while averaging a double double and Alamo’s double digit assists as well ALL FOUR YEARS! The shit is crazy! She is recognized UNIVERSALLY as the greatest woman’s player EVER!!

    Growing up, Reggie Miller was easily my 2nd favorite player to watch behind Michael Jordan. Before Ray Allen and Steph Curry, Reggie Miller was the prototype for 3-point sniper shooting and frankly, he did it against much tougher odds than either Allen or Curry. Allen eventually got to be part of a superteam in the '08 Celtics and Curry has always had Klay Thompson on his side. Imagine Miller having a SECOND sniper to help pick him up during the 90s. Everytime he would finally conquer one huge playoff obstacle, there was always one waiting that was just to hard to overcome. Finally beats the Knicks in '95, then has to contend with a young powerhouse Magic team in the ECF. Finally gets to the NBA Finals in '00, then has to deal with a Lakers squad with 2 future HOFers and in the conversation of Top 10 all-time players and both coached by the greatest NBA coach ever. And this is all ignoring he had the impossible task of trying to dethrone Jordan's Bulls in the 90s. Miller unfortunately played in an unlucky era.

    For anyone questioning his worthiness remember he played during a time when some of the greatest players, and certainly some of the biggest dynasties were in the NBA. His career started during the beginning of MJ's and the Bulls prime and ended with Shaq/Kobe dynasties. You put Reggie on the Lakers, or Bulls and he's a household name. He took a below average team to the playoffs. His numbers aren't as stellar as you'd think until you realize his percentage was unbelievably high, he just didn't take as many shots as the bigger named guys.

    Throughout my childhood I had only one role model outside my family, and that was Reggie Miller. All the days and nights mimicing Reggies shot surrounded by cornfields in New Middletown, Indiana. My family taking me to a game every year to see Reggie and the Pacers play. Watching Reggie taught me hard work, how to be confident, and most importantly loyalty. Í have so many fond childhood memories because of Reggie Miller and I wouldn't trade the 18 years I had watching him for 18 championships.

      Wow, why does this have to be about Curry? Anyway, since we're here, let me say a few things. I am on the side that still doesn't recognize Curry as the greatest shooter ever unless he continues this for a couple more years. But Curry has been shooting great numbers from the moment he walked into the league. Took him some time to get to superstar level, but the dude's not been on a 2 year run by any stretch of the imagination. He's been a legit star since 2012. And an All-star and All-NBA for 3 years now. It's just that the media found their new golden boy, and decided to market him too enthusiastically these past 2 seasons. Sure, he may have taken a lot more shots, but you can't really blame him, it's not like he's missing them.

    • @Fakename70
      @Fakename70 Před 7 lety +1
