    King James Version
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Thank you for laying this out so well! Praise God that these 5 key tenets of the Christian faith were rediscovered. Looking at the Church Fathers you can see all of 5, but not explicitly crystallized into 5 pillars. Just as Nicaea and Chalcedon brought into clearly articulated beliefs what the church had always believed about God, so too the 5 Solas brought the primal focus of the Church back into clear articulation!

thank you brother- well done presentation.
Isaiah 66:1-2 (LSB) 1 Thus says Yahweh, “Heaven is My throne, and the earth is the footstool of My feet. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? 2 “For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,” declares Yahweh. “But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Monks and sometimes Nuns made all the copies of the Bibles over the many centuries, by hand, beautifully decorated and bound. Also, there were many Bibles in the common language, in all countries, over the centuries, prior to the Protestant Rising. Most copies were in Latin however because those who could read and write did so in Latin. It was the language of the literate. The Protestants however, pedaled erroneous translations of the Bible with heretical footnotes, which the Catholic Church made efforts to stamp out. The first members of the Catholic Church gave us the NT Books. Nearly 400 years later the Church decided the Canon of inspired OT and NT book. If it were not for the Catholic Church, Protestants would have no Bible (7 books removed) to butcher an abuse. Peace be with your spirit.

There was a time in the church when the Bible did not exist. So how were the believers saved. Read the Church Fathers. They relied on Catholic bishops. There were no Lutheran preachers yet

There was also a time when Jesus Christ hadn't been born on Earth yet, but everyone in the OT was still saved by Christ. God put together the Bible through people, whether Christian or otherwise, to have it become our Bible today. Just because something hasn't always existed as we know it, doesn't mean it hasn't always been there. Christ is eternal and so is the Word of God. It just takes time for it to all unfold on Earth. Now, we have the Bible completed and Christ's example. No need to any bishop, pope, etc.

Yeah, throw out 1500 years of faith, teaching and tradition. Invent a new religion, tradition of men, and ignore all of church history, especially the early church fathers, the generation of men that received their teachings directly from the apostles. Hence, since the reformation there are 20,000 plus new denominations, all thanks to Luther and subsequent inventors of protestantism. Protestant=protest against God.

Sola scriptura is unscriptural because it's not found in scripture. Sola fides is not found in scripture. Faith without good works is dead, that's scriptural. Read the letter ofJames

What good work do you do by believing Jesus died? And what work did the thieve on the cross do? Works righteousness is not what the bible is implying by "saving faith" although faith will certainly produce good works. Please check out the elements of biblical faith ... Also it says that works without faith is dead. This just means that if someone is truly saved, you will see the fruit in their lives. If youre saved, there will be works that follow. Now, if you just do works....Faith will not follow that. Solas are all scriptural. That is where they came from. People started reading the Bible for themselves and found these Truths that the Catholic church had been keeping from them. The only reason the Solas we even brought up was because of reading it from scripture.

Read the letter of Galatians. If we are saved by works then Christ died for nothing. Galatians 2:21 We are saved by faith and if works happen they come from faith. (Book of Hebrews, Book of Romans)

You immediately make some false statements in this video. The catholic church has never not allowed people to have bibles.
500 years ago, most people didn't have bibles because 1.
The printing press had only recently been invented. Most people, let alone churches, couldn't afford a bible.
    2. Most people couldn't read.

The Roman church did not want to translate the bible friend. The Roman Church clearly had no interest in its members knowing the word since sermons were almost always delivered in Latin.

    • @dougy6237
      @dougy6237 Před rokem +3

@@VitorGamesPlayy Just think for a moment what you just said. You stated, "sermons were almost always delivered in Latin". That is simply not a fact. Sermons were given in the vernacular. This slip-up reveals you are driven bigotry and not by truth. Think what else have you got wrong about the Catholic Church. You do yourself a dis-service.
In addition, people heard the readings proclaimed in their native language, not simply in Latin. Latin-English missals with side-by-side texts were used at Mass. The faithful followed along, not missing a word of the prayers, or the readings. The priest read the Gospel first in Latin, then in the vernacular.
As for your assertion, "The Roman church did not want to translate the bible friend". In my first post I gave you evidence to the contrary. So do not make baseless claim just because they make you feel secure in your bigotry. Back them up. Give us the contrary evidence.
