Thank you sir, very clear explanation of the bible that we will be saved by Grace alone not on our own added effort in order to be saved. Its the ultimate sacrifice of Lord Jesus to die on the cross and rise again from the dead thru the power of God the Father in heaven to redeem all of us who believed Him.

I am going to start with sola scriputa this Sunday. I have taught the solas before and I usually start with grace, but I'm thinking scripture might be a better place to start.

I have so many questions I'm sure I've asked you this before but nobody will get back to me. I've struggled my whole life with people who are Christians. And I would say they call themselves saved by grace. And yet they don't reflect the things that the Bible says a Christian is supposed to reflect. Namely the way that Jesus lived when he was here on Earth We All Fall so short of that and yet I have been so hard on myself because I am so imperfect. And I tend to judge other Christians and Fall Away because of the complacency and the way that other people live their lives and claim that they are going to make it to Heaven because of Grace. Can you elaborate on the grace thing. I thought it was because of God's grace He sent Jesus so that we can be forgiven of our sins through his shed Blood on the cross. But without and honest change of heart and daily asking of forgiveness for our sins. Which I think is the way we all grow and become different in the way that we do things and the way that we look at things and the way that we treat things. We become more and more like Jesus everyday. If that is heartfelt I believe that God will honor us. But if we believe we are just saved because we have accepted Jesus as our savior and acknowledge that he died on the cross for our sins and then carry on because we believe that Grace will take us to heaven alone. I don't really agree with that. Can you help me out with this please

Clifford Penner I am no brainiac. Yet we sinners all are saved by the Grace of God by our Faith alone. God saves for His greater glory and at 7 I believed that no one else seemed to love me yet at Easter I heard the gospel and believed. God made it so. He created my opportunity opened my ears and I have had the great joy of salvation in the end of my life. I am old now and have failed miserably at many things. I repent over the same thing over and over and I still have the Faith that He will forgive me. My spiritual life reflects my transgression and by repentance and if I live more Christlike I am at greater peace. Life is hard and full of suffering. I know that my redeemer lives and so I rest assured that I too will have a pain free life ever after.

Becoming more Christ like is part of sanctification. Every Christian should want to reflect the Bible, because if we truly love God we will obey his commandments. Not every Christian is going to be the same, but that doesn't make one more worthy than the other. Yes, we all fall short of God's glory, but you shouldn't focus on how your brothers and sisters are living, yet you should focus on your own relationship with God made right by his grace, and set the example for them. If your brother/sister sin and they are unaware you can speak with them in private about it. True joy is found in God, so sinning will only hurt you and the Christians that do so, some more than others. We must confidently seek forgiveness in our hearts through Jesus' death on the cross. Do this and you can be sure of the fact you are saved. We are all facing daily battles with sin, and we will all turn away from God at certain points. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and chose us to be his faithful servants. In the end we will reap reward, but no one person is more deserving than the other.

Clifford Penner "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 7:21
"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? - Luke 6:46
Not everyone who calls themselves Christian is a Christian. The Bible is very clear especially in 1John and 2 John about true believes and unbelievers.
Don’t worry so much about others who are worldly and are false converts, worry about your church brethren and your sanctification.

Runsontrails We will never be perfect in this life. I've learned that the Christian Life is not about perfection, but about direction.
