Dear my friend is about Yoongi’s ex best friend. They were like brothers and then he went to the detention center. Yoongi would visit him every week and it was a 3 hour trip. The friend later got out and asked Yoongi if he wanted to try drugs and Yoongi realized that his friend changed and not for the better. He was super hurt and he said that “I got angry and cursed”. I’m not sure, but a lot of people are saying he’s got arrested again and is currently in prison.Yoongi misses him so much, but hates the person they have become.

Idk why but I also cried when I heard Dear My Friend. It’s such a heartbreaking song. To know Yoongi had to go through something like that made me so sad and I couldn’t imagine how disappointed he must of felt in his friend.
