I think it’s honestly so funny cuz Yoongi is never the type to name people and target people. He always just talks shit and takes shots into an open field. It’s when people get offended and feel that he’s shooting at them that really shows how powerful and right his words are.

He making those people attacking them accountable for their own ish, like worry about you and your problems. Cause either way he's going to keep growing and get better, so no matter what they say, their not at his level.

It was about his old close friend from Daegu, read the lyrics. The situation definitely happened before they started receiving lots of attention, his verse in Spring day is very similar to Dear My Friend. In the lyrics he also mentioned that when his old friend got out of jail, he still tried to offer Yoongi drugs. Yoongi realized they really went down different paths and there’s no getting his friend back.

@@xstoofpeer 2/5 of them had lyrics on their phones and they skim thru them don't read them in depth, and that's very evident in their commentary on each song because 70% of the time, their interpretation of the meaning of the song is waaaay off (like the song will be talking abt the hardships and downsides of fame and they'll be thinking its talking abt chicks and love).

ARMY, our musical genius is back to bless our ears after a four year wait. For those that are unaware, AGUST D is the alternative stage name of Min Yoongi, aka Suga. (Five of the ten songs off this album are known to have explicit words used)

1. Is this an introduction to the album? If so, what an opening! He started off by basically saying that he’d returned and is better than ever. Anyone that is a fan of his knows about his song”Seesaw.” In it, his singing voice appears multiple times. Same for this song.
As far as music references, I’ll throw it back to his verse in “Never mind”.
2. Yoongi stuck with his Korean roots here for the instrumental along with snares as he was rapping. He also had ad-libs throughout the entire song to keep his flow in check. His flow seemed to switch constantly, but he stays rhythmic with it. My favorite flow is towards the end at 2:43 where his voice seemed more relaxed.
3. In “What do you think?”, Yoongi uses what I will now dub his ‘frantic flow’. What I mean by that is when his voice sounds like he is screaming at us, but in a more confident manner. He has also had a speed increase throughout this song too. The instrumental for this is another one that will instantly have you bob your head.
4. The song “Strange” is the only one that features a band member; RM. Lyrically, he and RM go political, speaking about what specifically goes on in their side of the world. This is a song that’ll make you think.
5. We have reached the halfway point and time for a calm down. “28” features NiiHWA. He sings in the chorus of this one, taking the harmonic parts with NiiHWA.
6. “Burn It” has a rocky element to it and features an American singer by the name of MAX. It seems he sings the chorus here. Yoongi uses a callback to his verse in “Outro: Tear” for the hook, referencing another song from BTS’ discography.
7. And for the song "people" yoongi talks about how he is envious of us who live a normal life, and can go about doing what they want without being chased and constantly watch. He says what we find extraordinary is normal to him, and what he finds extraordinary is normal to us. We may all want to live in the lime light but when it comes back to it, we just all want to be normal and live comfortably without constant fear and worry about what might happen in our lives.
8. We’re almost done. “Honsool” has that classic style of rap from Yoongi. He slowed things down in the chorus and used a vocal effect for a majority of the song, reminding me of the introduction of his first mixtape that featured DJ Friz; Dt sugA.
9. Set me free interlude is nature vibes infused as Yoongi fully sung on this one. To me it brought back memories of J-Hope’s “Blue Side”.
10. "Dear my friend" is a song about an ex friend of yoongi, this friend went to prison for drug addiction, yoongi visited him every week, even though the trip was 3 hours long, when his friend went out of prison, yoongi went to see him again. his friend asked him 'do you want to try **?' which i'm assuming was a drug. at that moment yoongi realized his friend wasn't the same anymore, got angry and shouted at him for offering him drugs, even after being in prison and going through hell because of it. yoongi asks himself what would have happened if he had stopped his friend that day, before his friend tried drugs. they aren't friend anymore, and even though yoongi hates him, he still misses him, so this isn't a song about how he hates him it's more about him looking back on the memories he had with his friend. for me it's the saddest song in the mixtape.

thanks for the mixtape review and taking the time out of your day to decipher and analyze the amazing lyrics that yoongi put his heart into, and also crediting him on his amazing skills in producing and switch up in flows ... he has it all
When asked about what he wanted to throw away in the new year, he did mentioned that he wanted to throw away himself. I think this year he really managed to do away with the parts of himself that was really negative and have useless anger because he said he's happier now and the other members also commented that he smiled and laugh more, he's more happy.

I really like the new format and that you guys are reading the lyrics definitely think you should continue for future Kpop albums. To make it easy for everyone to read the lyrics you can just go on CZcams and play the lyric translation video there's usually one for each song up shortly after an album drops.

Why react to these songs half way? You really need to read the lyrics together on the big screen. Agust D has beef with people using them for fame and clout. That was what you guys missed. You guys were laughing instead of taking it in seriously. It would be better to stick to anime becuz you prove your point that you guys aren’t ARMY but just using BTS on your channel.
