Many of us first saw David Blaine perform this in his Street Magic TV special. The Hand Sandwich effect is one of the most popular and powerful card tricks out there. This video will teach you how to do it and how to extend it with additional phases. This trick is often called “Here Then There”.

He pulls a really nice double lift and time mis direction and that's how he does it without a duplicate. But a lot of ppl burn hands now and are really familiar with it.
I love your videos. I'm not a professional or even to aspire to be a professional magician, but these "little" tricks really interest me. I perform them on my niece (who is is 7), and actually on my own kids. But just these simple stand alone illusions keep her in wonder and awe, and I can perform it over and over and over and still the disbelief and sense of wonder in her eyes is what makes it all worth it. Keep it up.

I would do the 2 card monte after this trick, works so well. For the 1st time, you switched the cards. For the 2nd time, sepectators doubt that you switch them again but indeed both of the cards changed.

While the tutorial of the entire routine is well done and I appreciate that very much, I really wanted to say thank you for the tutorial on the shake change. I haven't seen a tutorial on this before and this makes complete sense.
Chris Ramsey has a similar effect to the shake change call the Slip Shift.
His version is more versatile but VERY slight heavy. leaves my fingers in knots every time I practice it. I love it.
the Shake Change gets it done but it's a little dirty with the double face. I love this one else too.

I like to have the 2 duplicates on top and then I do a triple lift, give them the duplicate, show them my top card (other duplicate) then I double lift my duplicate and "their card" and do a shake change over their hands

No, i use it very liberally and no one has ever caught me on it. its essentially dont run while no one is chasing you. no one questioned it
