- Boeing is already in hot water due to a series of safety issues with its planes, and now the U.S. Justice Department is warning the company could face criminal prosecution over two deadly crashes of its 737 Max aircraft.
Those tragedies occurred in Indonesia in 2018 and Ethiopia in 2019, killing 346 people. Jackson Proskow explains what Boeing is being accused of and how the plane maker is responding.

I think families should have sued Boeing
You can sue all you want. That doesn’t mean you’ll win
@@tomdavis8757 yes it does
Good luck with that attitude
@@tomdavis8757 well I am a politician so if I sue a company for what they have done they I will get what I want
Uh oh heads are going to roll “Literally” 💀
that or maybe prosecute them for the two whistleblower's assassinated?? Maybe??? I thought all the corrupt management was fired and removed?? Why are the witnesses still being murdered??
If they don’t prosecute it will look like they’re getting favouritism from the justice dept. That just looks really bad and puts Boeing in a bad light to the public.
his shirt is hanging loose!
So any penalties imposed on Boeing would have to be paid by the US taxpayer in one form or another. It's not like the USA has many alternatives besides Boeing.
Much safer to put Wings on the Black Box, they survive
It's just sad really, Boeing actually did stand for quality when i was a kid, feels like a thousand years ago at the moment, but it was a bit less than that.
True dat. In the late eighties, I did an internship with KLM, the oldest operating airline in the world, which at the time had an all-Boeing fleet, apart from some Fokkers for regional work. Now it's gradually phasing out its Boeings in favour of Airbuses.
And possibly.more, but no worries its just talk
Something should've been done back then. It shouldn't take a door coming off years later to wake this up, but that's exactly what happened. I was a huge Boeing fan before. The door plug incident did reveal that Boeing lied to us all. They were supposed to have already been working on safety culture & they obviously weren't. All they did after the Max crashes was change the CEO & fix the MCAS stuff, then continued doing what they normally do as if nothing happened. No lesson was learned. Those ppl are not going to die for nothing. Boeing owes those families to get their crap together!
Favoritism at the ☠️ of u

The HAL Tejas? It seats one passenger. Not very efficient.
"We are going to need Boeing when Russi@ starts World W@r III"
