      Yes definitely. The longer the hooves are the harder they walk. Glad you like it. :)

      Yes if they are unbalanced or overgrown they will usually lick and chew after you sit there foot back down. This is their way of showing approval.

      @@WhisperingMeadows1Idk the sounds it makes like asmr or maybe it gives uf relief too knowing that the animal is no longer in pain because the hooves are too dirty

    For this horse, I could tell this pretty horse is very well maintained. Great job! I do have one question though. Anatomically speaking: Am I correct that there wasn't a lot of space between the lamina and the hoof wall?

      I thought so too. under the muck the hoof was almost perfect still.

    No sole taken out. Some guys take too much sole and the horse is sore for a few days.

    Forgive my complete equine ignorance but where are this horse's Shoes? 🐎🐴

      In this video you can see horses that are barefoot so they dont have shoes. Im just doing regular maintanence trimm. 🙂

    Are you using a right hand and a left handed hoof knife when you did the soles

      Yes I use both hands and left and right hoof knife 😉

      I use a right hand and the the loop knife. But that looks very efficient using the right and left can't say I've ever seen anyone else do that.

      @@martydedmon5279 I was useing left and loop but used to have my left wrist hurting all the time and after switching to left and right it helped me a lot

    Is the frog very hard or soft?

      It dependes on the climate the horse lives in. Now in mud season they are quite soft but in dry summer they can be rock hard.

      @@filipshoofrestoration its amazing how it doesnt hurt to trim it I know there are nerves and the frog is used to push blood flow back up the leg

      @@andyman0231 yes you're right but the nerves are deeper in the frog in the part where there's also a blood system and I never trimm to that layer of the frog
