Inside the Bucks' Death Lineup That's Demolishing Opponents

- The Milwaukee Bucks have been unstoppable lately, and the Damian Lillard trade is starting to pay the dividends that both the Bucks and NBA fans all expected it to. The Milwaukee Bucks offense has been impossible to contain, especially when their starters are on the floor.
The Bucks halfcourt offense looks like one of the best we've seen in a long time, with the Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo pick and roll looking like a tough puzzle for defenses to solve, and with Khris Middleton returning to form, the Milwaukee Bucks might have a ticket punched for the Finals.

Who should the Bucks go after to round out the roster?👇
DFS for sure
marcus smart or caruso
PJ Tucker or Dennis smith JR for sure
The Bucks should look for another perimeter defender. It should be either Alex Caruso or Fred VanVleet. A lot of people mention what Jrue Holiday provided, but they forget about how Jevon Carter, Grayson Allen, Joe Ingles, and Wesley Matthews played on defense.
Alex Caruso - best fit for sure. but literally EVERY team wants him and they will definitely be losing the bidding cause they got no assets.
Gary Payton II - another good alternative. tho idk if the warriors are willing to trade him. most likely not
Royce O'Neal - most realistic target imo. cheap and on an expiring contract. i don't watch nets games tho so idk if he regressed on defense lol
PJ Tucker - not a fan of this one but hey, i would love a pj tucker reunion in milwaukee :)
Awesome analysis, I don’t think people understand that Giannis is saving a bit of himself for the playoffs not chasing an MVP
Jokic or Giannis they want another ring embiib just stat padding trying win mvp but will never win a ring
And yet, 30ppg on 60%fgp would be historic. No-one in NBA history has done this. Not Michael, not Wilt, not Kareem, not Kobe, not Dirk, not Nicola, not Shaq, not Magic, not Lebron, not KG.
this bucks team can't beat boston
Well he isn't doing a great job of not putting up numbers.😂
True. Better shot selection than ever before. He’s saving his body WHILE playing. He can trust the pass when the double team is hacking or out to injure him-which 100% does happen on a nightly basis for giannis
Thankyou, it feels like no one has actually watched this team when they talk about the bucks.
This season, Giannis is accomplishing something that only a few players have done in NBA history. He is the 4th player in league history to score 25+ points, while shooting 60+ FG%. The other 3 players were Zion Williamson (2 times), 1987 Kevin McHale, and 1990 Charles Barkley. Not even Wilt or Shaq have accomplished that.
Giannis also set a new milestone as well. He became the first player in NBA history to score 30+ points, while shooting 60+ FG%. No other player in NBA history has accomplished this.
30/10/5 on 60%
many people have scored 30+ points on 60% fg haven't they?
@@ch1aroW Not as a season average. Giannis averages 30-10-5 on 60% FG
@@LogicallyQBing. alright i gotchu that makes more sense
Run and dunk ofcourse higher percentage
Absolutely love these high level breakdowns! One of a very few channels who get into the nitty gritty.
Any top point guard knows how small variations in their craft can make huge results. You can see the examples provided here how Dame waiting just a little bit after a P&R and placing the pass at a steeper angle toward the lane allows giannis to gather it in stride better, gaining the down hill advantage that he needs to do giannis things. Huge improvement.
i love how the team is growing together, and slowly piecing the offensive synergy and defensive components/synergy. it will make them not feel overconfident in the playoffs, and really understand each other since they are going through so much right now as a team.
Dame was suffering what all point guards suffer that don't have a big man to pass to. I belive once a point guard has a big man to pass to, that combo becomes psychic, the two of them own the court. Think Stockton to Malone, Magic to Kareem, Penny Hardaway to Shaq, or Tim Hardaway to Alonzo Morning.
I think that the main reason their midrange frequency is even above 20% is because of Middleton, and thats because hes good at them
Wow. This was some great analysis. Learned a ton. Thanks!
Man, you make some great points!! Thanks for sharing your hard work.
I think Alex Caruso would be a great pickup for the Bucks. Great two way player, and they could really use more defense in the starting five. Beasley would be a great spark off the bench in the scenario
You aren't getting Caruso without giving up a big piece and some draft picks. Two things the Bucks don't have. Best thing is to keep the same and just help them improve.
ur slow@@hemantjain6679
Not to mention the onboarding of Dame not only takes the load off Giannis but also Khris. He’s looked silky smooth. Nothing looks forced as it used to
They should be looking to upgrade the 2 spot, with best case scenario being Alex Caruso but generally speaking someone like Royce O'Neal would be an ok upgrade also. They just need one guy who can pick up the ball handler, and figure out backline rotations from there.
An unlikely player but someone I would like to see in Milwaukee is Marcus smart
What assets do the Bucks have to trade for Alex Caruso?
@@FerusVagari connaughton and a young guy
This team doesn’t need any trade but will be highly active on the buyout market. Also the world has yet to realize how great Andre Jackson, Marjon Beauchamp and AJ Green are. They are the future and will be apart of this Bucks dynasty starting this June
@@coldballstherapy he is the most inconsistent player on the team. Sometimes he goes out there like he is Steph curry other times he acts like shaq when shooting
i followed dame to the bucks and have really enjoyed watching them during my blazers’ rebuild. this team is lethal and i think the bench is fantastic when they can deliver. only question to me is health
PC, Bobby and Cam are inconsistent, sure. But on any one given night, odds are at least one of them is going to be cooking.
I'm glad you still enjoying Dame at bucks. He's been impressive and he will only get better with Giannis
Solid Vid man!
I think the only thing we need come playoff time is a versatile 3&D guard or small wing who can be the point of attack defender against the opposing teams lead guard. They’d only need 15-20mins in the playoffs but could be someone to plug in with the starters when one of Dame, Khris or Beas takes a rest, someone like an Alex Caruso. Middleton has been the guy to do that a bit but he’s gotten older and slower so we need a younger shiftier guy to lock down potential opponents like Maxey, Tatum or Halliburton.
Caruso would be absolutely fantastic for Bucks, been thinking that since his LA days
Jae will be back before the playoffs
Schröder seems like he'd fit that role very well
Another great video mate!
im not sure what a potential trade would even look like, if it'd even be possible but if the Bucks somehow got a player like Alex Caruso that would be cool
LaVine (CHI) and Portis (MIL) to the Nets, Connaughton (MIL), a BKN 1st (2025) and a MIL 2nd (2026) to the Bulls, Caruso (CHI) and a BKN 2nd (2027) to the Bucks
@@LogicallyQBing.bucks aren’t trading Bobby and Brooklyn isn’t getting Lavine and Bobby for a 1st and a 2nd 😭
@@zFrostbyte. Bucks have no assets I'm just reaching in air 😭
Beautifully done. Educational breakdown.
I just want Dame to have a Chip this season.
bro I totally forgot your channel existed love your vids. Thanks to Yt algorithm
Top analysis as usual, my fav basketball account
I think while crowder is injured, they should get a good wing defender. But andre has had flashes here and there, but it'd be nice
Solid analysis! The only thing probably that would mess things up for them (and for any other team) is health. Giannis is a monster, so he's unlikely to get injured. Dame however, is risky as well as the others apart from Brook. If they can pace their health and build strength, resistance and endurance - team to look out for in the finals.
Definitely feel like they're missing a point-of-attack 3&D wing defender. Add that to the rotation and they are solid all-around. Greatness awaits.
That's who Andre Jackson and MarJon Beauchamp are supposed to be, they can run the floor pretty well too
@@AB-sw4kb Niiice. I don’t watch much Milwaukee basketball so that was just a surface-level takeaway. I hope they both develop into fine pieces.
@@AB-sw4kbThey are not all that great at the moment. Would probably still shop for that wing stopper if any team is selling
Dame haven’t figured it out yet, that is the scariest part.
He goes cold during the playoffs. It’s normal
@@flex407he hasn't had the caliber players around him like he does now. He needs to be a smarter shooter and passer. Let Giannis and Khris cook and get better on ball defense.
you slow af@@flex407
Hell yeah we have. And the Celtics looked shaky tonight… 👀
Lol. They looked shaky for 1 half coming off a holiday break. Settle down.
They literally just came off an dominate West Trip unlike the Bucks easy schedule.
Give the bucks 1 more month and there going to be much more better than they are rn
@@tyriantaylor711easy schedule or not no one should be taking the pistons to ot
Whos guarding JT???
one dream addition that will make them legit championship contenders and probably the favorites would be alex caruso, just imagine a backcourt of dame and the goat himself, they would be unstoppable
Coach Griff... luv and respect from Canada!
Dame makes a two time MVP even better. If they manage to figure out rest of the rotation or upgrade the 2, they are the best team in the league. I know Celtics are balling right now but you and I know that Porzingis is going to get hurt and there's no real plan b other than 40y/o Al Horford. A scary proposition for playoffs.
Caruso is the missing piece that will make this team the favourites
Wait this is actually genius
Great video
since this video, its gotten even better, now with doc rivers to help our defence
When Lopez, Giannis, Middleton, and dame are all out there their spacing and everything is so good. They can all get to the bucket and Giannis is maybe the best at doing that and dame and Lopez are good shooters. Lopez is big too. Khris just fits into that mid range spacing forward role
Great video. its crazy to me how now in the nba almost every screen is illegal lol. Hip stuck out, feet still moving. Every time lol
Bucks looking good just gotta lockdown some more
I love it that the Bucks are becoming what everybody expected ❤ Hard work. Well deserved. I hope that by end of regular they are true contenders, but I think they will be.
Great vid! Don't worry Thanasis will carry the bench on his back.
Can we talk about how Malik Beasly has been balling!!
@@coldballstherapy I mean he’s shooting 46% from three if he doesn’t drop that would be INSANE
thanks
They need an ATHLETIC 6'8" wing who can DEFEND and shoot.
Jae Crowder almost fits that criteria
@@gmr68982 inches short
@gmr6898
Jae is a little is still effective. Bucks need an OG Annunoby type. He would be the ideal player. Someone has to slow down Tatum/Brown, otherwise the run wild and Boston edges them out.
Jae is a little old, but can still be effective.
@@olusegunakintunde6297 too bad OG was just traded to the Knicks.
Bucks could try getting Marcus Smart from the Grizzlies, Alex Caruso from the Bulls, or maybe even a lower tier guy like Royce O'Neale
Basically anybody they can get for depth
@@snupedummy and perimeter defense
Alex Caruso would help this team immensely. Champion level trade imo.
Only addition Bucks really need, is a 2nd defensive minded Center.
Are there any on the market? Claxton is a HUGE stretch without assets..Maybe Rob Williams from PDX?
Almost anybody, would be a better option, compared to Brooks twin brother. If Brook Lopez, doesn't get any help, it won't be easy, to keep him healthy for the play offs. @@LogicallyQBing.
Seems like they need a 5 who can play drop coverage with the second rotation. When Brook sits, the second rotation seems to give up a lot of paint points.
Matisse Thybulle would be a good pickup for the bucks
The craziest thing is that the bucks look this good and i STILL don’t think they have fully clicked yet
Yes it has finally dropped 😍
I don't think bucks need anything..
Their defense will turn up in the playoffs..
They have Ajax and Baechamp t bring energy to the defense and they're getting better..
All we need to do is improve our defense in The paint, we would def be on the top of the league if we would just put effort on D.
It's not the paint defense that's the issue. It's the perimeter defense. Guys can't stay in front of their man on the perimeter and easily get blown by which causes the defense to scramble to defend the paint. When they had Jrue they didn't have this problem because he's the best POA defender in the league.
Still need defence !
Aw MAN! This is old!
tbh this is a great Milwaukee buck team. i think they just need to keep doing what they are doing. honestly, this is good n their defense will improve.
That being said, they are playing really a beautiful attack
But defense worries a lot
Green vs Green in the ECF. Obvious call if everything holds, but injuries happen.
I think they need some good defender at the wings because Khris is underperforming as a defender and Crowder is injury prone. This is something that could hurt them against teams like the Celtics who have big wing players. Other than that, the team seems complete.
Great Vid 👍. But i think we should go and get Alex Caruso IF the bulls blow it up
Carusso has been good for a while. He would makes us better fr.
@@MyJourneyToBecomingTheGOAT and we need that perimeter defence too. Would be a great pick up
Maybe they cracked the code, or Khris Middleton is finally healthy
I am loving Khris's transformation into Old Man Khris. How anyone can look so slow and yet so smoothly unstoppable is one of the unexplained wrinkles of the universe, I guess.
Get Me Alex caruso ! , also keep in mind crowder is injured
Offence looks great, defence has flaws. Bucks definitely rely on talent to much, needa sort out a presence outside the paint for defence. Improving every game tho, schedule has been quite easy tho tbf so gotta wait till they vs the good teams.
Jae Crowder getting injured really sucked. Hopefully he'll be effective after coming back, but I'd be shocked if they don't end up making some trades before the deadline.
Would love DFS to help with some defensive issues I just don’t see a path way to getting him.
Imagine if Bucks could get a wing who can defend and is reliable shooter from 3pt Line (Covington for example). Or back up center who excels on defense (when Brook is resting) like Hartenstein. Anyway they are the team who is one small trade away from being legit top 2 contender. So far Celtics imo are absolute favourites, with many other teams being one tier below...
They still have alot of holes and the rebounding is average and when shots aren't falling they are in trouble the defense is pretty bad and honestly the Cs are more complete any team who has a strong offensive guard that is where they have issues because they can't stop them
personally i dont think a trade is necessary. i think something incredible is brewing in milwaukee (no pun intended) and i think trading for a new player runs the risk of throwing that progression off kilter. they are already contenders, a trade is high risk low reward.
side note, you forgot to mention khris middletons role as a midrange maestro. ever since he’s been playing regular minutes, his midrange efficiency has been spectacular on pretty good volume. he is a key part of their offense and it shows.
Im actually surprised the Bucks are this good with the new head coach. I was expecting like 5th-6th seed type team but the way theyre playing is just different
LFGGGG NOTI GANG
Vs teams with winning records they still gotta figure that out
Scary thing is, they haven’t hit their highest potential yet!!! We’re 10 deep as well!!! Might even make a trade or acquisition of some sort to help us even more!
If we do make a trade for a backcourt defensive minded player, Bobby P Cannot be included in the trade!!! He’s way too important to this team!!!
Hey i know Kawhai Leonard wont be leaving the Clippers anytime soon but if they had him the Bucks defense and FG % would be crazy.
Just found my new CZcamsr while I’m toking it up 💪
when you have reliable players
Bucks vs Celtics will be the Eastern Conference Finals. And it's going to be good!
When playoffs begin, every team is gonna play whoever offense on Dame..
We need ACFRESH aka bald mamba, and the ring is ours
Alex Caruso would be a crazy good fit for the bucks
Yeah on offense they have but they are 24th in defense
This team in particular would have been far more offensively deadly in coach Mike B's system.
Imagine Klay in Milwahki
first! (great vid btw)
Thanks man!
Won't take them serious till they improve that defense
It is improving
You’re telling me that a team with a new starter PG and the secondary star (I guess tertiary now) in Middleton coming back from injury took time to gel? Preposterous
I don't doubt what you're saying offensively for reg season but when playoffs starts, I'd like to see how they can hide Dame on D while teams will gladly give Giannis the open shots.
They need caruso but don't ask me who will be part of that trade 😂
God bless everyone and have a wonderful day ❤
If Murray is up for grabs I’d trade for him for pat Marjon and maybe 1 more player and picks that would solidify that team
Pacers just whopped our asses again, im not feeling very confident for this team anymore. Dame inconsistency is not making up for his shitty defense and coach griffin is just trash, why bring a rookie coach to coach a championship ready team.
All honesty I think the bucks best opportunity to win the chip will be next year, not saying they can’t this year I just don’t see them as favorites.
if the bucks trade for alex caruso its game over
If they “cracked the code” they should probably have more than one championship in 50 years
Bucks will not improve on defense unless Brook decides to move his feet and step up and make an actual effort to contest floaters and middies... He casually steps up and puts a hand up like its going to affect the opponent from scoring. He's to slow and showing his age. Myles Turner would look good on this team. Wishful thinking...
use Marjon more, let the kid loose
Thybulle would fit nicely
I still think they should have traded Khris instead of Jrue they just didn’t want to disrespect him after all these years
Bro the Bucks always suffered in the playoffs due to half court O... they figured something out, alright
Alwx Caruso
We lost PJ Jevon Grayson Wes matthews and then Jrue but that’s not the main reason why the bucks are struggling on defense it’s clearly the coach and the defensive schemes he’s implementing and the bucks are struggling to adjust to it. The effort is clearly there but the execution isn’t and that’s on Coach Griff
They need to figure it out on defense otherwise no ring..
Stop it Dame and Beasley together is a liability on the defense for anybody. So that's not on Griffin
Their offense is superb, however they have yet to unlock Portland Dame yet, every point feels hard for him to get for dame, even though is averaging 26ppg as second option.
Did they win yet?
