Right now it's probably the worst time to buy a GPU.
Why? Well prices are 500% more then usual since there are chip shortages, and cryptomining.
If you can wait out more it would be best for you.
GTX 950 is still more then capable of runing most games.

@@Secumind I bought it from Aliexpress, paid 100 USD, which is still a lot considering it's an old card, but way less than 1000 USD for a RTX 2060, which is the price in my country.

I bought one for 40€ for my 2nd hand pc configuration, it's still good for low spec players but I don't recomend it if you play the heaviest games in 2021. Cyberpunk 2077 it's off limit, Warzone too (2gb of vram aren't enough). Then again, if you want 60 fps at least look always for performance settings in many recent games. If you play online at fast paced games low graphic isn't an issue.

Low clocks in this test, after oc this cards works on 1500-1600 mhz core, no problem play games with this card like ps4/xbox one, so for me is good, especially in covid times.
That's true. The clocks are nominal. It is indeed a decent performer and decent overclocker.

Wich one did you think has better performance?
They trade blows. Pretty much the same performance, except one thing:
Gtx 950 requires around 90w and and the 270x around 200w which is a pretty big difference.
The 950 is also quieter , smaller, and cooler.
We would go 950 if we care about all-arounder

Yes, It's a decent combination. That CPU will not bottleneck the GPU, you might wanna consider adding extra 4gigs or 8gig in future.

Pretty similar as in this video. The i5 4690 is still a very decent CPU when it comes to gaming and 8gb is plentiful in majority of titles except in warzone

Perfectly balanced system. Should have no problems at all running latest games.
Dead by daylight will be pretty playable on decent amount of details.
im running gtx950 on new world on low settings it stays 70+fps cant complain

It's a decent combo, it should play any game till date on decent amount of details.
And also, Actually GTX 950 is quite good when it comes to temperatures and it isn't that power hungry.

As for cyberpunk it isn't playable at 30-40fps on 1080p. You will have to reduce resoultion scaling to 70% or play on 720p
Modern cards struggle in Cyberpunk so don't expect much

Yes, excellent. It should achieve abit more performance in your case scenario ,comparable to this video.
I've been running this card with an a10 7850k for years and I'm going to upgrade to an i5 7400. Will my 950 not get bottlenecked anymore?
If anything gets bottlenecked it will most likely be the cpu. The 950 should be able to run at 100%.

Sure it will work just fine and play most games.
It will be a small bottleneck, meaning the CPU and RAM will be faster but at least you will maximise the GPU performances.
Nontheless expect smooth gameplay across the board with somewhat reduced details/resolution.

Buying a 950 for $60 and giving my old 750ti to my gf so she can have a graphics card to play minecraft lol. I don’t play any games other than like valorant, Minecraft, etc, so it should hold me for a while. Especially since I’m going to college in 2 weeks and I’m gonna be super busy so games won’t be a big priority. I used to have a 1070 but I sold that since I don’t play any big demanding games

It should perform similar with some rare exceptions like in cyberpunk and other more demanding and later titles. It's wrong with suggest that you upgrade to at least what I7from ivybridge architecture.

Nope, at least 4cores and 4 threads (like i5) to get similar framerates. i3's are not enough to use 95+ GPU resources for this particular GPU.

I have my Strix 950 paired whit 16 RAM and Ryzen 1600 AF and my games runs horrible, and old games like Aassasins Creed IV Black Flag are unplayable. In open world games like witcher 3, Skyrim...when i look arroud using the mouse the sttutering are terrible, any help ? :(

There is no way I can run warzone with 950 it crashes as soon as I open the game CPU fires to 100c
Maybe the CPU fan isn't mounted or it needs a thermal paste. One should do it fast before you Burn Out your CPU or GPU.
