  • Arousal incontinence/climacturia affects 93% of men after radical prostatectomy due to damage to the smooth muscle of the bladder sphincter. This can cause loss or leakage of urine at the time of stimulation, arousal or climax.
Dr. Milios discusses the variety of options available for men to overcome this condition, including pelvic floor exercises.

I greatly appreciate the frank discussion having recently come through the radical prostectomy operation myself - although I don’t have the pleasure of a partner at the moment I must confess I have been deeply concerned about all these issues - from am I doing the pelvic floor exercises properly - to the recognition that I might have a chance of regaining some sort of sexual function - but of course I am very concerned about finding the right partner and broaching the subject of post- prostectomy issues. 🙏
