Norwegian 7-11 is right in the middle between American and Japanese then, so there's hot dogs you don't know how have been there, burgers they'll start on when you order, some premade pirogues, mini pizzas, etc. they'll microwave, an assortment of traditional baked goods, some international baked goods, an assortment of baguettes, sandwiches etc., and some regular stuff like candy and snacks, eggs, milk, frozen pizzas, cereal, etc. That'll help you if you forgot to buy food for (or arrived in the country on) Sunday (most stores are closed on Sundays in Norway) and/or breakfast for Monday. It's more expensive than a regular grocery store, so it's kind of your hint to go buy food on Monday.

I was in Nagano during Typhoon Hagabis in 2019 for the F1 race and the day the typhoon hit landfall everything closed . . . except 7-11. I was a little upset that I flew halfway around the planet to eat 7-11 frozen food, but it turned out it was delicious. I still tell my friends about how unexpected the 7-11 frozen food aisle was.

    3:43 I`ve never seen Takoyaki in Korea`s 7-11.
I see only in Food truck or Takoyaki restaurant.
It would be great to release that item in Korea, too.
6:12 I don`t like chicken with the bone.
Such a chicken without bone and inside cheese cutlet
It is super easy to chew and melted in my mouth.
6:42 In Korea, that's called fire chicken (불닭치킨)
It looks like a little less spicy than korea`s fire chicken.
11:40 It`s the best topping for any kind of ramen or stir fried rice.
Japanese convenience store items always look rich.

I wouldn't be jealous of an American 7-11, its just a basic gas station store with no gas pumps. There are actually a lot of regional gas stations/service marts that are way better (Buckee's in Texas, WaWa on the East Coast. Sheetz in Pennsylvania). Heck Id take my local Byrne Dairy in Central NY over a 7-11 any day. Ive literally spent a lot of time in American 7-11s as I worked for a company that delivered there and Id go on site to check on drivers. they are pretty crappy, in bad neighborhoods often (id have to sit in my car for a while and wait at them to arrive, yikes at some!). And they dont have much special.
i bet most Americans dont know its a Japanese brand - it would be so cool if that influence carried over. But its a lot of rich jerks that own the franchise ones here; (one guy owns like 700+ of them that we worked with). Or they do have corporate ones here as well, i dealt mainly with franchises though. But we had to do extra security measures and delivery procedures (like deliver on camera and do a double check in process) because the franchisees kept stealing from the company... (they had to buy 7-11 brand cups for example, they'd try to get them and say we never delivered them).
But yeah, Japanese ones seem cool - better food, Pokemon/anime promotions, video game kiosks in store (they had like downloadable SNES carts back in the day (!?). I wish they'd make them like Japanese stores here!

We have Picard in France, they specialise in frozen food. You can get the ready meals, vegetables, meat, the desserts. I got American style apple pie last time, it took ages to do in my multi-cooker, I don't have a normal oven in the new appartement, but still it was really good. Maybe not for Satoshi as he's not a cinnamon fan. I love apples with cinnamon.

Fun video! As far as making things crispy in microwaves, it already exist for many years. I don't understand why Japanese food companies don't use it. It's a specially lined sheet that really does a good job with browning and making these crispier. We have these in the US for things like pastry or bread-based items that they want the exterior to be browned/crispier.

I one bought frozen takoyaki from the 100 yen supermarket as a student and that was not good hahahah so I never really looked at frozen foods again, except for ice cream and I bought the small side dishes for bento (with spinach, kinpira and such). But some of these look good. I think Eric's menu expanded into the frozen food section now instead of just the fried foods from the deli section in the supermarket hahaha (though if I cook from scratch he eat Japanese food as well).
