    Nice to hear you advise Skype to use with a eSIM. For many people it's not fancy enough it seems.

    This is by far the best video on using Airalo. The step mentioning turning the Verizon line to OFF is key or you will get hit with daily Travelpass charges of $10. You may have hidden apps and incoming phone calls that trigger the daily Travelpass charge.

    Thanks so much for this instruction!! I was stressing about how to be sure I wasn't charged a fortune by Verizon when traveling in Europe. I want to turn off Verizon entirely and use Airalo only. You answered all my questions. Appreciate it. Cheers!

    Your explanations are very clear. Would it still work if I just removed the Verizon SIM from the phone to make sure That there is no connection with the provider? Thank you Sir.

    Do I need to disable airplane mode when I land? If in Europe and I want to keep both primary and esim on, will it search for Verizon and not find it and then go to esim or will it just go to esim?

    great video, I planned to travel frpm London -> Belgium -> Paris (3~4 days per countries), Can I have 3 different eSIM install on my iPhone 12?
    is 5GB good enough per country? thanks in advance

      I would just get 1 eSIM that covers all of EU.
      You can buy three and switch between them. You can have any two esims active at one time. If you’re using three separate Sims, you might have problems with activation, and you have three times the chance of them not activating properly.

    Ok sounds easy, so when I’m landing turn off my normal data and turn on the other (aíralo) right? 🤪

      If you don't have a plan for voice calls then I'd just disable the entire line data and voice. If you still want to get voice calls and have arranged a plan from Verizon, T-Mobile or ATT etc then yes just turn off data.

    I have a US purchased Samsung Galaxy S20 FE which does NOT have eSim functionality. Is there a way to use a regular sim with this service (Airalo)? We just bought a place in Mexico so will need Mexico and USA coverage.

    • @JacanaProductions
      @JacanaProductions Před rokem

      Sorry AirAlo are eSIM only. You will have to get an eSIM compatible phone. I know you can get a cheap iPhone SE for about $150 used and that has eSIM. I know it sucks that these Samsung phones don't have eSIM but I guess they have to save money somehow.

    My European Regional has signal bars here in the U.S. when I turn on the eSIM, but no actual service here in the U.S. Is this normal? Will it actually work when I arrive in Europe?

    • @esimplanet
      @esimplanet  Před 12 dny

      It should be OK. This was a big issues in the past- when the bloody thing was actually activated! We are going with Maya this year going to buy two eSIMs for our hols tomorrow. Remember you can alway reboot phone and literally as you are touching down in the EU you can start playing around with it. Remember to lock down the phone so you don't use up all your data in the first hour! czcams.com/video/0VjAvjcJv_I/video.html

      @@alankirby5962 Some settings on your phone to make sure you don't use too much data - see my video. Assume you are talking about Airalo - I think when you land it should active - it's kind of roaming right now without using your data.

    • @JacanaProductions
      @JacanaProductions Před 3 měsíci

      Can you clarify what you mean by work. It's an app or website where you buy your eSIM. As far as the cell service, it works great as I used it last summer in London.
