I cried as a parent when he announced he was leaving. Knowing he did it because he was losing his hair makes it extra sad. Bald or not, you will always be a beloved member of our family decades later! 💜
A big majority of people don't realise how hair is important. As a 32 yo bald man, bald since about 24, I understand this man's decision.

The show was Never the same after he left.
He was a very famous face in every Filipino morning tv in the Philippines back in early 2000s... children and young adults alike watched him.... way better than any other kid's show😃

I didn't cry when Steve left, oddly enough. Unlike most other kids at the time, I was happy for Steve because he had the opportunity to use his mind, take it a step at a time, and got to do that he wanted to do.
I see people saying it wasn't the same after he left. Of course not guy, that's part of life. Everything evolves or comes to an end. I never watched the purple shirt guy, but my daughter is just turning 1 and I have to say, "Josh" is awesome. "Blue's clues and you" is her favorite. At first she was all about sesame street. Once she saw BCAY, she fell in little baby love lol.
Give the new season(s) a chance if you have little ones. It's a little silly now because "we just got a letter" is now "we just got an email" lmao.
And Josh's notebook is also a smart phone!! But it works. That's what these kids will know. Don't let blue fade away just yet
The reboot still does letters, more than emails actually. Just that they do both, but each episode only does one or the other. Also about the notebook being a phone, it's that it's a notebook on one side and a phone on the other, the notebook side being used much more often than the phone side.
Kind of agree with allowing kids to see it but my daughter sends letters off to our family members while never using email, and has loads of notebooks but not a phone or tablet (a school laptop though) so I don’t believe every child with connect with those changes.
It was sad that he left, because before I was in the world, my big brother had everything, the chair, the notebook everything, so he was a fan, and when I came and everything, I was a fan too, and I loved watching it
