It's not just childhood for me. The world of blue's clues was my escape from the real world as a kid who was abused emotionally, psychologically, and segg-sually. Blue's clues was the place where I felt safe even for just an hour.

This was like when Mr. Rogers message after 9/11, Steve knew that this Documentary was gonna have a huge effect on Gen Z kids who grew up with him, so for him to check in on us makes me happy.

It's mostly Gen Z. I'm a millennial ('93) who did not grow up on Blue's Clues, but my Gen Z sister ('03) most definitely did.
The original show with Steve and Joe ran until 2006, so most of the pre-K audience would be those born in the late 90s and early 2000s.

I'm actually kinda glad he left when he did now. I wouldn't want him to have gone through what a lot of actors went through later on. He had depression at the time which was bad enough!
Yeah I agree with you. He was the best example of someone who is only acting positive for something while they’re broken inside. You never know what people are going through. And that alone is exactly why when I’m famous I’m gonna chat with some actors about each of our own lives before we consider each other as friends at a later time. That will be the start.

Steve Burns is truly a good person who cares about kids and adults who grew up watching Blues Clues as a kid. My niece grew up watching Blues Clues as a infant watching Steve Burns when Blues Clues repeated on Nick Jr. and it truly shows how he impacted Nickelodeon in the right way. After watching what happened to the child stars on Quiet On Set, it really shows at least Nickelodeon had some good life back in the day when Steve did Blues Clues. I myself was a teenager when Blues Clues aired in the late 90s never growing up to it, but I had seen it when at the time and it really impacted kids in the world the right way to learn. It’s just a shame that Nickelodeon had horrible ridiculous sad miserable people who did shows like All That, The Amanda Show, Zoey 101, Drake and Josh, Victorious and ICarly who damaged these actors and actresses in the wrong way by pathetic people like Dan Schneider, Brian Peck and Jason Handy. All these people are so ridiculous and completely destroyed children in the past the wrong way and we need people like Steve Burns who was an adult when he did his show to show respect to kids who have been abused and destroyed in their life. Steve Burns your awesome buddy.
Same here, I watched it with my niece too. She was born in 2001, so we caught the last bit of Steve and watched Joe. Guess we also watched Steve on reruns too.

He didn't say much, but didn't have to... I really appreciated this and was very moved by it. It gave me a sense of connection to people my age. We've just had some of our childhood memories tarnished, I'm glad he was there to unite us once again but in a comforting and positive way. ❤️
That era of Nickelodeon seemed so chaotic and weird. I was in my teens at that point, so I’m glad I missed it. Hoping all the people affected have gotten help to heal. ❤
i stopped watching around the time icarly came out. things seemed to be weirder than usual, even for a kids show. too much focus on gross feet humor etc for young me to handle.
The show was so surreal, even as a kid, the world was so much bigger back then, what a genuine dude

I honestly have a strong feeling he was one of the few truly good people of Nickelodeon after what has just happened. I’m assuming anybody associated with Nickelodeon have been having a rough week. Whether or not they dealt with Dan Schneider.

I met Steve last year at Galaxycon. And let me tell you, this man is a wonderful human being. He was so nice and I just loved how he took the time to listen to me just tell him that i loved watching him on Blues Clues and how I started crying when I saw him and Joe on the then new Blues Clues movie with the current Blues Clues host. With so many childhood icons speaking out about the trauma they endured during their time on Nickelodeon. It’s just so beautiful that Steve would do this for not only his fans , but to anyone that needs some comfort right now. God bless this man ❤

I was a little too old to watch Blues Clues when it came out but I started watching because my little brother was born. Even as a teenager I enjoyed the show. Steve is a sweetheart. Thank you Steve!
Makes me glad I grew up in an era where Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, All That, Rugrats, Rocket Power, Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Arnold, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, and more before Dan Schneider's stuff ever came up. So, I can say my childhood is mostly untouched.

Steve Burns is great since his personality is really calm and he seems like he genuinely cares about people. I loved watching him on Blue's Clues when I was little. I also love that he's been on the convention circuit recently doing charity work and getting to talk to fans who grew up with him (including me!!!). He's not the most outgoing, but he's genuine and always makes people feel really special. Just seeing people have so much emotion getting to meet this nice man speaks volumes of how much of an impact he left on us

I was about 12 when blue's clues came on tv... I watched it because my sisters were toddlers. Then i started to love the show because of Steve. I still watch the show now because I have my own toddler... And it's always lovely to see Steve whenever he pops up in the show. Warms my heart.

He seems like a genuinely sweet guy. As far as the allegations go of other stars,.hosts, executives, etc....are any of us honestly surprised at this point? It doesn't make it right...but to call it shocking at this point is stretching. I am glad people are speaking up though. Maybe one day stronger policies and laws will be in place so that this will be less likely to happen.
