In 2019 my friend Chris and I decided to bike 2000kms across Vietnam, from Hanoi to Saigon. Neither one of us had any real bikepacking experience, but Chris and I share a love for adventure and slow travel and we knew one thing for sure: we both wanted to take our time with this trip. We were there to experience the country and explore - not just be on bikes but use the bikes to get to places we wouldn’t have found ourselves in usually.

I used to live in Guangzhou, me and three others took a night bus with our bikes to the border of Vietnam and cycled a 10 day loop up to Caobang and back. Truly amazing countryside and people.
Those mountain climbs are intense! I definitely want to get back and do route similar to yours, hopefully later this year.

Great video. I lived in HCMC for three years almost 20 years ago so this brought back some good memories. I can't believe the price f the bikes though. I pay more than that just for a pair of pedals! Well done lads. JP the old guy
