I always pick the alternate versions. Silver, Pearl, White, Y, Moon, Shield and I do it intentionally. The fact is if you do a lot of trading online or in the post game this usually gives you an advantage. Because there are often a lot more people looking for your versions Pokemon than the other way around.

That's a really smart move. I've had Silver, Sapphire, Pearl, Y, Sun and Shield. I don't mind getting either one. But it's fun to poke fun at them.
