Shows the mentality of spurs fans at the moment. We get a result tonight and Villa have to play palace away which if your watching football at the moment you'll know is not an easy thing to do. why would we ruin our chances at top 4 and champions league football just to see a clearly better run and better performing club not win the league? they were in our position many years ago and they've pinpointed and removed the problems and what's happening now with spurs is Ange is trying to add that mentality into the Spurs club/fans and we're deciding we'd rather ruin our season rather than see a club win the league just cause there local rivals? Baffles me, worry about yourself first, if arsenal don't win the league it doesn't get us success so why should we care? Focus on our team first in hopes they'll become successful, then we can worry about bragging rights and who win the league in hopes it'll be us challenging it and not fighting for 4th like we are now. I understand their fans not wanting them to win (though, it still is a little small time to be so worried about your rivals rather than your own club) because tribalism in football is huge. But the club, not the fans, will absolutely want to win the game. Two wins could see them secure Champions League football. That's extra revenue and a better chance at attracting players to continue improving the squad under Ange, it's also bonuses for players and a chance to put themselves in the shop window to elite clubs by putting on good performances in the Champions League.
The weird fans are the ones that want them to lose and are still going to the game, I cannot wrap my head around that one.

Spurs only need a point to guarantee 4th which they will get against Sheff Utd and they won't realistically overtake Villa for 4th so of course Spurs are hardly going to be busting a gut to do their rivals a favour, let's be honest.

I'm a Gunner. Let's be real, even with spurs at their CURRENT best they Can't beat City. The excuses of spurs don't want to win is rubbish. The excuse for the loss before the game is already in the works. We will take it to the last day and finish the season proud with or without the title. THEY want champions league but they know they can't beat City and using the rivalry as an excuse.

Everyone's making out that spurs can beat City at will... it's not that straightforward! City will be wanting to win this one at any cost! They're on a roll, spurs aren't all that, City will win this one 3 or 4-1,
Arsenal are getting closer, maybe next year will be there year!

What a pedantic argument that Spurs fans at large would not want to win this game. Not every Spurs fan wants to lose. Talk about making news out of nothing. We’re playing for the champions league spot, which is more important than whatever Arse is doing. If they win the league, then it’s because they got there, not because we ‘helped’ them. There are troglodytes and trolls in every fan base, and none of the COYS I know have any desire to lose. Big Ange is bringing our best at the day, and we’ll try to best the giants. If we lose, we lose. But damn we better give our blood to this effort.
