Afghan Taliban are inhuman, unless ALL Afghans understand that i) they MUST live together, & by bombing each others they are NOT going to gain any respectability. ii) Muslims MUST understand that their ACTIONS are contrary to any principle or religion; iii) Killing civilians or any discriminate killings is totally UNISLAMIC, whether Yemen, Afghanistan or Palestine. The ONLY solution to Afghan problem is, i) Taliban & others MUST stop killings, ii) A Coalession government of ALL groups; iii) All groups MUST decide on the PEACEFUL coexistance.

I disagree with Ustad e Mohtaram’s analysis.
1) He seems to have taken UNO and the beautiful words in its charter too seriously. There is no such thing as universally accepted four principles that all agree and support. Rather, there is only one real principle that is still relevant as it was centuries ago and that is: might is right. I don’t have to give many arguments in favor of my opinion, suffice will be to say that in UNO, we have a dictstorship of 5 countries (two of these don’t have any democracy). Beyond these 5, what really matters are these forums like G20 etc. So, please try to look and analyze things in real context. The human rights etc. are beautiful words, meant to be used selectively by the big countries as and when it suits them.
2) The last 20 years of war in Afghanistan was not about democracy. It was about foreign occupation. So, i think here as well the analysis is seemd to be not realistic. The topic of democracy in Afghanistan is another topic and I think we should leave it to the parties in Afghanistan to sort it out, but please don’t say things which give the impression that Americans invaded Afghanistan for democracy. We know what sort of democracy they brought to Iraq, Libya and elsewhere. It seems to be that, at times, when we have a strong feeling/support for a concept, e.g., democracy, we go too far to accept everything done in it’s name.

He also said that Talibaan as well as most people in Afghanistan do not ascribe to modern principles of government, e.g., democracy. He also said that might is right is the ground reality today but this will lead to more suffering.

Quaid e Azam and Iqbal both had an idea to establish a system where people can live according to SHARIAH.
The acts of Khulafa e Rashideen also emphasise that they had given directions about each and every aspect of life... even including literature and culture. They had forbidden anything that was found objectionable.

I differ from this view. You are defending Democracy bcs you don't accept Caliphate. Democracy is right now a system of the imperialist powers. We have our separate system. The debate is on approach you accept about Islam. I follow approach of Islam as a Deen, and you see Islam as a religion. We cannot ignore the political aspect of Islam.

What is an islamic system of government? Is it currently in power anywhere?. Can democracy not be an islamic government if the constitution is made according to quran. why can't that government be called an islamic government?.
Here the lecture is not about nature of the govt, but how to form a govt legitimately. Even islamic Govt has to be formed by a legitimate process, which he says is by a public vote not by grabbing power using guns. He say be it taliban but they should also come to power by democratic means.

Is there democracy the only solution ? Once about 30 years ago, I had a one to one debate with you to learn from you but even then I couldnt get contended. Quran doesnt give weightage to a wrong majority in comparison to a right minority. Quran does not direct to establish a government on the desires of majority rather Quran gives emphasis on merit eg merit of knowledge and power as in the case of TALOOT.
