How to Build a Cut Flower Garden 🚜🌺💐

A couple years ago I asked for some help to build a dedicated cut flower garden. Several factors led to the new flower bed:
- I had just been selected as an ambassador for an organization with the goal of spreading kindness through flowers.
- We made changes to the layout of the yard and removed an existing flower bed that held cut flowers
- I wanted to add a flower bed to the front yard that provided a bit of color
The bed was created in June of 2022, was about 105' x 24' and covered with 6' DeWitt landscape fabric. My flower rows were 4' wide and I left walkways 3' wide. We burned holes into some of the rows using a butane torch.
Two years later, I'm still using the same fabric and I leave it all winter. Everything is holding up great and works really well for cut flowers. We've expanded the bed over the past two years and added in a couple rows of perennials.

Worked like a charm and I may have bought one for myself this year...now I can make more flower beds 😊
