Facts are we only watch our team and don't know what other teams go through. Arsenal have had soooo many decisions not even going to VAR. So many obvious pens not even registered. Seeing some of the moaning going on with LFC and United fans, those decisions would take a different translation among AFC fanbase. Seems the AFC fanbase like a bit of self flagellation. Generally referring has been poor but moaning fanbases don't help. There is some leeway when referring and different refs should be allowed to interpret their referring accordingly. One ref will see it one way and another will feel it another. Overall, LFC haven't been targeted, IMO. Refs have been poor. VAR has improved and has improved the decisions but lowered the standards of the refs. LFC have had that ONE decision no one will argue about, that Diaz goal against Spurs. LFC weren't good enough and that one decision had no bearing on the comp. It was clearly a mistake.
