    At 4:45 or so she says you accelerate the electrons to the speed of light and then stop them suddenly. How is that possible if electrons have mass? That would violate relativity. Would it not?

      Nothing\ that's why you have a metal with a high atomic number such as tungsten, molybdenum and thorium. X-rays can't be created unless they are stopped abruptly, accelerated at the speed of light and something to push them to the anode
