@@knownpleasures Tobin Bell definitely appeared in a couple of films but the Saw franchise became his biggest breakthrough and most prominent work. He made John Kramer/Jigsaw as one of the most popular horror characters in Hollywood.
Tobin Bell got my highest respect. 81 years old and still amazing as Jigsaw!

I love Tobin Bell from the very beginning of this franchise. And now in the 10th movie, I finally get to see him show his incredible acting chops in full. This movie made me cry, laugh, cringe in fear and a multitude of more feelings. He deserves to be recognized as an amazing actor!
What a gift, to be able to listen to this vastly talented man expound with profundity upon the character he made famous. LEGEND!
I have a feeling we experienced the last true saw movie. Its sad that hes not getting younger, this man has so much talent.

John Cramer is definitely my favorite horror villain and it is so cool to see Tobin Bell’s takes and thoughts about the character he plays.

I can’t believe we almost didn’t get this movie because Chris Rock wanted to play a cop in a Saw movie. Thank god Spiral flopped and we got this.

It flopped because of the pandemic when people weren’t going to movie theaters that much. And yes, it did try to be different but wasn’t good.

I feel like at this point Tobin Bell is to John as Kevin Conroy is to Batman. The only one on sept who doesn’t need direction because he’s been doing the role long enough he knows the character better than whatever director who happens to be working on that current SAW entry

About John not seeing them as 'traps', doesnt he say 'We both know youve never been in a trap, nor have you ever been tested' at Bobby's trial in Saw VII? (I believe the Billy tapes were canonically recorded by Kramer and not Hoffman)
I think he’s using the term trap as almost an insult, like John doesn’t view them but he’d know bobby uses the term so he’s throwing it back at him
I think Tobin better to show his other image when he's outside the movie because it will be more professional.

Hes actually in his early 60s. He was 52 in saw IV which came out in 2007. He was prob like 20 smth when he studied architecture. I dont fully know the timeline though

John is inherently hypocritical
That’s the point of his character. He believes what he’s doing is noble and right, but in reality he has a huge god complex and can’t face the reality that his method is flawed and his successes aren’t really successes.
That's the point. You're not supposed to agree with him about his methods. You just have to understand why he'd do this from his viewpoint.
i feel its SUCH a waste to AGAIN play john kramer. he would be the PERFECT fit to play one of the really really sickest f*cks ever to live: ALBERT FISH.
Nad dude too many of the traps are unbeatable and predictable in results.
