- Tobin Bell reprises his role as the iconic horror villain John Kramer aka Jigsaw in the eighth installment of Saw.
FilmInside’s reporter David Bruce sat down with the actor in his hometown New York, to discuss Jigsaw. Bell talks about horror films, being grossed out, and favorite horror movie villains. “I’ve had groups of skateboard kids approach me and talk about ideas in the films,” says Bell. “They don’t talk about this trap or this victim, I’ve had them say ‘They teach you stuff’”. To see more about what Tobin Bell has to say about Jigsaw, watch the exclusive video interview below.
It’s been seven years since Saw 3D: The Final Chapter, which was the seventh film in the series. Saw follows John Kramer (Tobin Bell), a man dying of cancer. Kramer tried to kill himself in a near fatal car crash but survived, making him appreciate life in a way he hadn’t before. He invents traps for people who don’t appreciate life. With specific time frames and rules, his victims must play a deadly game to survive. John Kramer died ten years ago, but some of his surviving victims have lead the torch passed on to them, putting new victims in sadistic games.
Jigsaw takes place years after Kramer and company’s killings. Bodies are turning up around New York City, each of them put through horrifying tests. All evidence points to Kramer aka Jigsaw, but how could this be? He’s been dead for ten years. The plot and twists for Jigsaw are very hush hush. Many questions are floating around like, is Kramer really dead? Will there be paranormal qualities to Jigsaw? Does he have a cult following copycatting him? With Saw providing so many twists through the years, one can only imagine until opening day.
Tobin Bell has starred in very single Saw film. In addition to Jigsaw, IMDb credits him with starring in eight other films coming out this year and next, including Sins of the Father, The Rogue, and The Marcus Garvey Story. - Zábava
This man deserves more movie roles
I'm sure he's made a killing helping out with Saw so I don't think he'd be actively out looking for roles. (No pun intended)
Guy has been in a ton of movies since the late 80s.
He is in the first episode of the Creepshow Shudder show, and he rocks on that so if you do want something else with him you got that
I just respect Tobin Bell so much
Same he is the best actor appart from Christian Bale .
He is the best horror villain
I'm afraid of him too 😢
I could just invite him to my student digs and listen to him talk for 24 hours and not get bored of his voice :D
"You look at things differently, you smell things differently. You savor everything be it a glass of water or a walk in the park"
That line will live rent free in my head until the day I die and i'm happy to accomidate it.
a wank in the park
Some actors and actresses are just born to do some roles. He was born to play John Kramer and Jigsaw voice!
This man is so knowledgeable it blows my mind
He is amazing!
Seems the kinda actor that really tries to get into the character's mindset.
metalgeargirl agreed
TheMrcooll Um no.. He is.
Amazing actor and on of the best horror villains of all time I don’t care what anyone says Tobin is incredible
totally agree!
Except that John Kramer is not a Villain. He is more an Anti-Hero
No he is the main Villan 100 percent get help he's a psycho path killer who has a twisted mindset and has a God complex and is a hypocrite but I love tobin bell and I love the character
I never get tired listening to Tobin. I admire him so much!
He is a teacher a great mind a beautiful person and as John Kramer he was my inspiration to better myself and others
But John Kramer is flawed
No John Kramer is a psycho path killer not just flawed he's crazy and has a twisted kindest is a hypocrite and has a God complex
"When they talk to me about the film, they talk about, some of the things that get talked about."
Tobin Bell -2017
He needs to narrate video games or documentaries.
Yeah! He just did an Audiobook once. He should do that also more, because i love his Voice
Tobin is so much better than the franchise he's in
Much respect to saw and Tobin Bell.
he should write a book
Hes a Sith Lord
The best.
Totally agree!
Tobin Bell is one of the best ever
more saw movies need to come out
cambuurrinse no they don't, Jigsaw was shit. They had the opportunity to tie up the storylines of Hoffman & Gordon, but NOPEEEE it completely blew.
Becca ann on that part i completely agree, aswell as they sayd that they had trouble thinking of a new movie. I still hope another one comes out
SAW IX IS COMING
cambuurrinse saw IX is coming out in 2019 i believe
They've already milked that. The Jigsaw series is a fresh start. The original Saw series has ended, Jigsaw is upon us and 20 more films are coming down the pipeline as we speak.
Imagine if he just suddenly stops what he says and says “your arms are handcuffed, the key is under the chair. You have 60 seconds. Live or die, make your choice.”
*Casually puts the “knives are for faces” trap on the chair.
@@doggoofthebath5593that was a one time use
@@marioq467 then make it again
@@doggoofthebath5593 it didn't brake he just never used it again
The way I read it in his voice
He should be in Star Wars
He should be Darth Palguies
RobstarPvP Yes!!
This dude is so fucking cool, he's the shit lol!
Karma exists when Jigsaws around.
So wise! There is something about his voice thats so sultry! Making me blush
I can see why he appreciates Hannibal Lecter - fabulous actor and Kramer is an icon
I don’t think it reinvented the horror genre, they took it in a different way. The idea behind it is a good way, the message though as with most blockbusters tends to get drowned out by the gore.
Anthony Hopkins in Hannibal then silence of the lambs made me look at hamburger, for 6 months in way the way those movies did and I wouldn't eat anymore.
I have to disagree with Tobin about his choice of horror villain, specifically when he says Hopkins’ Dr. Lector was “subtle.” I think, of all the actors to play the character, Brian Cox is by far the most realistic and subtle. But I respect his opinion.
SCHWAKYL Yes, Brian Cox was amazing.
Goddamn you are so captivating, Tobin!❤❤❤❤
I respect John "Jigsaw" Kramer and Billy the Puppet
All he had to do to kick starts his career is get up from the ground😜
ideal blunt rotation: tobin bell and billy the puppet
I like him, Tobin Bell...
Born For Jigsaw
The Saw series as well as hostel really scared the bare skin of my bones. Im sorry god.
I feel like he should have been Unicron for transformers
Interesting how he chose Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter since I find his performance more theatrical than terrifying. If you ask me, and certainly one that I think tops Anthony Hopkins as the character, Brian Cox did a far better job as Hannibal Lecter given his very small role. His performance felt more real & clinical as a villain compared to Anthony & Mads. Lambs is certainly a good movie, don’t get me wrong, but I think that too often it tends to overshadow Manhunter which gets overlooked and I honestly think it holds up extremely well and deserves just as much praise for what it brought to the drama/thriller and especially crime genres in a time where that kind of story telling was still fairly new.
One's impulsive understanding is just a few pages of withdrawed reading, for ''Judging the book's by it's cover''is never witnessing the real scenes behind it's abstract.
Hello Tobin Bell, I have an idea.
I want to play a game if you get time bell back in that city again and talk about everything that happened with the Saul films you would be able to talk with him about not just putting the series the franchise of SAW if you know what I mean, you get him back in that chair again and talk about The image that he has put on us the fence and get him to talk longer with us. If you can do that to talk to him about as a W 10 you will get the idea what I mean by this if so, we can do this yeah, I’ve heard the rules of the game now if you can get him back on her , I’m packing a seat. Maybe she can give us a key to the backstory of how John Kramer had a backstory and get him to talk to you while longer than just a matter of minutes if you can get him to do that, don’t get the rules of this game if you can do that to get him to talk or go for a hour with you about the series and the franchise of SAW, all the way on down to jigsaw and the rest of them and talk about the timeline of them. What will be the best timeline that he would prefer for us to watch these films. If you can do that then you know the rules. Get Taco Bell back in that chair and talk to you from the full hour.
What game begin?
😂😂🔥💖
are we gonna talk about him refferencing Trump?
Lol others lie and cheat I think Tobin has TDS
He actually has expressed his dislike towards Trump if I am correct
Don't forget that everything Jigsaw does is bullshit, even many parts of his speech. But his main idea is 100% true: "appreciate your life"
Oh boy here we go 😮💨 you do realize people who agree with alot of John Kramers points aren't actually gonna go make a trap or kill someone right?
OPINION WARNING I fucking hate Saw the original is the only good one. All the others are just terrible
yo send me a pic of the declaration of independence
eli iacovoni to late, I already gave it back to the FBI
eli iacovoni I apologize you can't handle opinions
Nicholas Cage no sorry dood want talking about that, but bro you could have at least sent me a pic of it 😢😢
