    Great addition for me with a messed up left thumb that would be seizing up and sore after riding.
    Set up is definitely challenging, not sure mine is 100% perfectly installed.
    However, my buddy took my bike for a spin, got off and goes "Dude, what is this? Its so buttery" which i think perfectly sums it up.
    Good to know on the maintenance!

    I moved my clutch perch way in towards the middle. Now my pointer finger grabs near the end of the lever. There, I get my leverage ratio. 1 finger, butter. TC 250 Brembo

    Cool but you can buy that 9 and 10 master for the same price and then throw steel lines on top. Few hundred more and you got a recluse

    I love that idea I don't really get the science of it but wonder if that can be transferred over to cable clutches

      It definitely could. It’s cool how it just assists the lever.

    id love to give this a try but the price point is quite a bit, ive gotta run the rekluse on my 350 because it requires so much clutch work and ive hot so much issue with arm pump that it makes racing fun rather than disappointing, never had an issue with my 300 my first race on the 350 i was like wow this is gonna be an issue lol

      It is expensive but I can say that it is really good.

      I'll sell you one for $250, comes with matching brake lever. Only used once!

    So you like this setup more with the Belleville set to position 2 vs just setting it to first position or you have it in first position and add this?

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 9 měsíci

      I like it like this with the spring the correct position. I used to think the different positions on the Belleville were for clutch feel but they are actually to get correct preload on that washer. I finally read the KTM manual and realized you are supposed to set it so the washer is flat (not convex or concave) to get the correct preload.

    • @constantink3721
      @constantink3721 Před 9 měsíci +1

      that's what the manual says but you get a lighter slightly longer pull with more preload and sharper pull (with more effort) with less - the preload essentially changes the curve of the belleville spring force countering the pull. I have had mine on position 1 for 300h with 0 issues and lots of pro hard enduro riders do that. It would see like adding the spring to your clutch lever pretty much does the same thing except for slightly less force on the clutch plates at rest. Havent tried it but I imagine that because of the changing movement radius around with pivot point where the spring is it would apply a different amount of assistance the range of motion - I am sure thats something you get used to though@@highlandcycles

      @highlandcycles  Před 9 měsíci

      @@constantink3721 you do. It feels really good while still keeping more clamping force on the clutch

  • @PrimalEnduro
    @PrimalEnduro Před 9 měsíci +1

    Isn't this a copy/adaptation of the Clake One Light Clutch mechanism? The Clake OLC is a complete MC unit that requires almost no maintenance at a similar price?

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 9 měsíci +1

      No, that is a different system. It also works pretty well but does change the engagement point.

    • @PrimalEnduro
      @PrimalEnduro Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@highlandcycles The Clake OLC doesn't change the engagement point because it's not using different leverage ratios like the MME lever, it's using spring assist just like the Rnduro, but it's built into the MC instead of an add on. Same thing though...if you dial it too soft you loose the feel and have that weird break over point.

    • @highlandcycles
      @highlandcycles  Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@PrimalEnduro Oh, maybe I was trying something different. It was a master cylinder with the pivot way on the inside and a super long lever.

    • @PrimalEnduro
      @PrimalEnduro Před 9 měsíci +1

      I know the one you are talking about… it’s meant for a rear brake…. Not ez pull clutch! I think that one is called the SLR
