I'm setting up my iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB as I watch this. I loved how seamless the eSIM transition was. No call to my carrier which I dread doing. So far so good!
That isn’t the case with MVNOs. I’ve been waiting on support for 30 minutes.
It’s a major inconvenience to people that try to save money with the smaller carriers.

What happens to the old SIM? If you want to re-sell your older phone, do you have to get a replacement SIM card or can they reactivate it somehow?

I used to have an amazing television production company and must tell you that all of your videos are of extremely high-quality appreciate all of the equipment that you’re using. Looking at what you might be using for a microphone is pretty fantastic. It has the sound of a higher Neumann.

Personally, I find that the 13s had a better recording from what you had shown at the end of this video, When you recorded videos with the 13 they sounded way #better!.
I think this channel is one of the most useful on CZcams. I say useful because you can find plenty of reviews, but very few are this thorough. Aaron makes sure he covers every possible aspect and also listens to the community.

Love you work Aaron, I upgraded from my 12 to 14 Pro Max 256gb in Space Black, absolutely loving it so far. Mind you, being $2300 here in New Zealand I better love it I guess lol. Dynamic Island is so cool and the AOD display brilliant. Hope you enjoy your experience. Cheers.

The problem with display in sunlight is that after 5 minutes when the phone starts to overheat it drastically reduces the brightness and makes it useless. Something that no CZcamsr ever mentions
I turn off auto brightness so i don’t sorry about it and keep forcing it down when it acts on its own
@@bl00dkillz I also don’t use auto brightness but the phone still lowers it when it gets warm. You can’t disable it. My 13 pro max looks like ass after a few minutes in sunlight
The Island should have been a smaller notch, but it would have been old design. Also the software would have looked worse. Now it cuts into movies more than the notch (as you have showed here).

@@lylong7817 no doofus. It’s called a joke🙄 back in the day, when you were still in diapers, Apple used to release “S” models of the previous phone. They were very slightly upgraded models from the previous year’s release.
Got the Pro Max today. Seamless transfer to Verizon e-Sim. FYI…if you are wearing glasses during the Face ID config, it will ask you to remove them and do a third setup. Love the Always On.
Did you have to pay a $35 activation fee? People have said that the $35 activation fee can be avoided if you buy directly from apple, connect on my own later, but just wanted to confirm
@@mizu1856 I had to buy one from Apple and one from Verizon. Verizon charged me for a activation fee and apple didn’t.

I've been waiting for your review since I also suffer from PWM. Wondering if when you do another review video about it, would you mind testing the PWM with a white background? In other videos that are Slomo it seems to show more if there are bars or screen flickering. Thanks so much, great video!

@@Dr904 I just got Iphone 14 Pro Max today and it bothers my eyes when brightness is set to below 60%. I was using Iphone 11 and I had no issue with it.

Hey Aaron, I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max and planning to get an iPhone 14 Pro Max in Deep Purple with 256 GB for my senior year in high school. I was thinking about switching to Android and when the iPhone 14 Pros came out, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the dynamic island. It changed my mind to stick with Apple. I cancelled my preorder for IPhone 14 Pro and instead went for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Dynamic Island is really not that big of a stuff, I’ve seen it in show-room, very happy with my buy 😊

How does the 14 Pro Max deal with PWM? While I still have to check it out myself, would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I’ve heard from people who are affected by PWM say that starting with the 13 Pro models it has not been an issue, at least not as much of one. This is likely either due to ProMotion or perhaps Apple has gone for a different approach for controlling brightness. I would assume this is the same for the 14 Pros.
@@themightytammos I had the same issue with the 13 Pro Max, couldn’t use it. If it’s exactly the same then I am out of luck with the 14 Pro Max as well. I still have to check it out though. Let’s see how that goes.

@@GOLFADDICT65 PWM means “Pulse Width Modulation” which is how many OLED screens control brightness. It essentially flickers the display at various frequencies to create a brighter or dimmer image. This wasn’t a very in depth explanation, but I hope it helped nonetheless!

No sim eject tool this year, since they took away the sim slot. Next they'll take away the box. Love the professionalism in your videos, however.

@@Hello-yv5wq not the phone but the charging lighting port cause once wireless charging becomes as effective as wired charging apple will get rid of the lighting charging port and claim we did it cause of “courage” just like they remove the 3.5mm headphone jack on the iPhone 7’s.
I got the 14 pro max in my favorite color purple. I have a catalyst case on it which offers great protection. I love the camera on this phone which is why I upgraded. When I don’t have my big camera with me the iPhone takes amazing photos. Thanks for another great review!
