Dan Hurd and Tim "Skippy The Fossil Freak" Miller = two of my favorite people whom I have never met, yet admire like brothers. To have both of you in one video is overwhelming to the senses as your combined enthusiasm for geologic discovery and uncovering your own natural treasures is incredibly infectious!

You brought back memories of my youth, when we used to go fossil hunting in Colorado. The washes East of Colorado Springs were a great place to find trilibites, nautiloids and more. I had a pretty good collection as a kid. Eventually The lot was donated to the Denver Museum of Natural History (as it was known then).

Take a closer look at the one you split open at 11:40, there might be a piece of bone I saw in it. I have a similar locality here in Oklahoma where we find similar concretions, but MUCH older...about 293 million years old. The concretions are thought to have formed on the edge of the photic zone. Sometimes those concretions are formed around shark and other marine vertebrate excrement.

I was wondering if maybe you could do a video over in Australia, maybe you will find a huge nugget with your detector and you will probably get enough views just from coming to Australia to cover the flights??
