I am waiting for G1 GI Joes, but I am very happy that the G1 Transformers have been reissued.
80s transformers are the BEST! woooo! and the old school packaging rock! but these guys should come with ALL the cassettes! Wait! why are laser beak's weapons been cut off? wtf? but 80s stuff in general is great! Seacons! yeah do that! subscribed!
All the US reissues of Laserbeak have the "safety" missiles. So you / we don't lose an eye.

I believe Takara will make more than just Optimus Prime in the missing link line. I think Megatron is next followed by Starscream and seeker repaints and Soundwave. On the Autobots side. I see then making Ironhide and Ratchet (easy repaints) and finally giving them heads! Then probably Prowl and Bluestreak agin easy repaints.

I understand why we haven’t gotten the car bots like Jazz Sideswipe etc because of licensing of actual brand-cars and I understand why we haven’t gotten Megatron because of gun laws. But I don’t understand why we haven’t gotten a reissue of Grimlock and or Shockwave. Those two seem like the next feasible choice.
Shockwave isn't owned by Takara or Hasbro. As for the Dinobots, supposedly they lost the original molds and refused to reverse engineer them.
Unfortunately never owned a transformer toy ever because they were so popular back in the day .but however I know this own count but I did get a mighty mug of g1 megatron , soundwave & shockwave & my other favorite cobra commander
Hasbro Pulse always has pre-orders for the Retro G1 figures. Perceptor is coming out as well. From Hasbro Pulse. I was lucky enough to get one that was in stock. After those sold out. They put up the pre-order, and it's sold-out now. The ones that come in the '86 Transformers the movie boxes. I already have 3 Soundwaves 2 sealed 1 opened. I missed the blaster. That was scary snap ever time I try for a reissue it sold out on pre order but would love them both . G1 blaster was one of my first transformer and one of the first new in box one I got maybe the first ever so special to me Christmas gift I never find these guys

I don't have a G1 Blaster yet, so he and Steeljaw are definite grabs for me! I'm very happy with my book-style Commemorative Edition Soundwave, so I wasn't sure if I was going to double-dip with the new one, but I (perhaps inevitably) have changed my mind. 😆 Looking forward to seeing them on the channel!
And yeah, would love to see the Seacons battle! 😁

Yes..I got them last week. They are awsome cartoon like. Of course i opened them up. Lazerbeak and Ravage look great.

I thought we recently had these released. I grabbed Blaster on Clearance for under $20. If I see it on clearance again I grab another. I do prefer the colour and the vintage packaging. I may grab a Soundwave. I never saw the last reissue. I wish I new if Takara will be doing Soundwave with increased articulation. Thanks for the video George.
I believe Takara will do all the 1984 transformers in the articulated style.

They are sold out now. And I'm pretty sure we will get an Optimus Prime with trailer in 2024.

Looks like the one on the left is trying to get outta the packaging on it's own lol I got both of those reissues for Soundwave n Blaster last time they were available. I wish they would have released all of Blasters tapes like they did Soundwave. Although I really just want Ramhorn & Ratbat
I was really disappointed that we didn't get all the cassettes for Blaster. But it looks like we'll get a second chance at that them. And yes, the Seacons are breaking out 😆
Hi! I missed the boat on the reissued Soundwave a few years back, so I was ecstatic seeing these new ones. (Some think the die cast parts may be removed, but looking close at the pictures, I think the die cast is still there on his feet, and Ravage's legs etc, but just painted with cartoon accurate colors.) Even still, I still would prefer the TOY version that was reissued a few years back. Do you know where someone can find an original reissue?
The diecast parts are still included in all reissues!
Thanks for clearing up what some have been theorizing! But as someone who missed out on that recent reissue, I'm ecstatic seeing Soundwave come back. I still prefer the "toy accurate" version just because it was the one I always wanted growing up. (Like so many others back in the day, I only knew TF through the toys since we never had cable. It was amazing to see it after all these years on TUBI. Seeing all my childhood toys come to life like that was a treat I can tell you!) So I'm certainly not complaining. One of my childhood dreams has (basically) been realized! Thanks again!

If I didn't already have a Soundwave and blaster, I would definitely pick these up.
I also prefer chrome over silver. Hasbro omitting the chrome to make it cartoon accurate is a cop-out. That bit of bling pops on the display shelf
I'm definitely a fan of chrome, but I'm still interested in certain characters getting made in this line.
isnt there a sound blaster? its blaster but with soundwaves colors. was that a real transformer?
@akira4085 Soundwave was destroyed, then rebuilt into Soundblaster. He is a black version of Soundwave with the red chest door. In the same battle, Blaster was destroyed as well and rebuilt as Twincast. He is mostly light blue and white with red parts. They are real and expensive.
Soundwave its really bother me that they forget to paint half of its side legs like the g1 now the side are all blue when he is transform look weird to me !!!
It looks weird to me as well, but I think they did it on purpose.
I'm still waiting for the G1 Megatron reissue.

I wish they did Blaster's head like in the animation. Like Perceptor's head. Since they didn't, I may pass. Soundwave is a maybe. I hope they make a G1 Astrotrain in animation colors. That would be a no-brainer for me! Otherwise, these look really cool in the animation colors. And they brought back the original G1 box design!
You are probably going to get your wish on Astrotrain in cartoon colors. He was a recent Wal-Mart reissue and will probably be next.
I'm counting on it. They have the moulds and they just reissued it a few years ago. Originally, this was a Japanese exclusive E-Hobby variant. If they can tone down that pink/magenta color and keep that dark gray, it'll be good. Just like in the animation. I have 3 variants, the original (and that reissue from Walmart), the platinum edition multicolor one and the black and white Takara bookcase one. Let's make it 4 variants to complete it!

I have the Blitzwing that was with this one. Blitzwing's color scheme is a whole lot better than Astrotrain :D
A lot of people want a retro G1 Astrotain. I wanted G1 animation color Astrotrain since maybe around 1993 when I saw the 1985 Transformers Catalog. I was always disappointed that the G1 toy was not more cartoon accurate. I remember in 2019 when we got a reissue of Astrotrain that was a darker purple and I was disappointed that it wasn't more cartoon accurate. I recommend writing to Hasbro about this. I already have and waiting next year for a retro Astrotrain figure. There's a high chance we could get it given that they have the mold and a lot of people are asking for it.
Was that Red Alert at the of the video a custom? I never seen one with a red head before.
Yes, it's a kit bash. The red head is from a G2 Sideswipe.

Are you talking about the Studio Series version? No, I haven't seen it in stores yet. But I saw it on Bigbadtoystore.com earlier today. That thing is $89.99! It might be a pass for me. I think I need to see a review myself 🤣🤣🤣

A couple of people told me that those prices are 3rd party scalpers listed on Wal-Mart site.
Maybe but when you go check out Thundercracker or Skywarp, you do see that it's Walmart and no sign of the actual 3rd party retailer. In either case, I won't buy at that price. Also, it could be clerical error, they've done that before. I wanted to buy a 2nd Thundercracker but I will wait.

I love them all, too! Some more than others. But my favorite, without a doubt, is Optimus Prime!
omg yes optimus prime has one of my best childhood memories in santa cruz beach boardwalk they had a drawing and the winner got to go up on stage and meet optimus and grimlock, they called my name and i got to meet them and he gave me a brand new (in a weird cardboard box ) optimus prime. best day ever. its weird how every transformer has a certain memory about it. those were the days.🥰 @@80sTransfromersFan
