George Lucas originally wrote the original trilogy as one script for one movie but since it was the 70s and they didn't have that kind of budget so he decided to split them into 3 different movies
Really? I heard that it was only planned as a single film (a new hope) but it blew up so much in popularity that George kept it going. That's why there are so many things that are clearly unplanned. Like Leia kissing Luke and then saying that she knew they were siblings the whole time

George only directed Episode IV of the original trilogy though i wish he did em all there's not much to complain about in episode V or VI(my favorite of the original trilogy i don't even really know why but it is) though I'm glad he did the prequels himself which I've loved since they first came out..episode III is still my all time favorite Star Wars movie
I'm curious as to why Episode III is your favourite? My favourite in the 1980's was Return of the Jedi, probably because it was the first Star Wars film I saw on its first release at the cinema. I have since seen all the films at some point on the big screen, reissues etc - some friends and family thought me sad getting excited about the addition of Jabba the Hutt and Boba Fett In Episode IV and the Force Ghosts in Return of the Jedi!
Were the Prequels I, II and III your introduction to the Star Wars Universe? And what do you feel about Disney making TV series rather than films - is it because Solo did not do that well at the box office do you think?

To address the question of these being reproduced, yes they were. Not in that fashion I don’t think but I have reproduced copies of the original trilogy scripts in my collection.
