Alec Guinness' kids and grandkids are set for life. His original contract with Lucasfilms was a smaller paycheck in exchange for a small percentage of all licensing items sold. If I had $ 500,000 I would spend it on a nice home with some land. I can live a home, I cant live inside the figures. This reminded me when they sold the original comic book page of the first appearance the alien symbiote from the Secret Wars comic book. My dad even thought the price was too much. But, when you have so much money, dropping this kind of money means nothing. At the end of the day, it's your money, spend it on what you want.

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Is anyone on the planet willing to pay a half million to add those to their collection? I doubt it. Maybe 50-100k, but for what else you could get for a half million I don't think they're worth it.
@@Kanglar definitely not worth half a million. I doubt anyone would pay that. was crazy. I think the 50k was super reasonable. I’m not even sure they’d get 50k at auction idk. Lego is expensive and often increases in value but not by that much I don’t think
@@charliebatton2826 sorry didn’t see your comment. that’s insane to me but fair enough
@@lemonynora it’s also 2 / 1 of 1 items and one is white gold, you could see In Corey’s face he knew it was a jackpot there is Star Wars collectors, Lego collectors and toy collectors in general that would have there eye on this, he knew he could sell it quick you saw in his face he was think “god damn imma buy so much meth with that half a million, and also they are the pawn stars so I’m sure they wouldn’t be holding on to it like he pretends like he would be
Same here. 50-100k maybe reasonable, but if I get 500k, I would rather get a car or house 😂
I dont get the Expert. Is he there to just drop the price or is he really an Expert. Because he was lacking 2 things. First, finding a comparable in the market. Which is difficult, but 1:1 items that are non-Lego are easy to find or just demonstrate how the general market of lego collectible is performing. And second of all, he should need to give price ranges on auctions. Is he just stating the lower end of the price here for the buyer or what?
And sorry the offer is a joke. For 50k he can find someone at any Walmart who would be happy to do the deal.
It's all bullshit. These experts are fake
They literally pay those experts to come in and try to lowball the customers
I even think its the owners "buddy". But not only is he lowballing, the owner even further undercuts prices by half. Claiming for all the "effort" he needs to put into it. I have nothing against pawn shop owners making profits, but sometimes it feels more like legal fraud.
@@BEng-yc4tj it essentially is in a way l, kind of like fake bids to run up prices on auction buyers
@@kingredpill5669 Yes, but I think its even worse when the exchange happens physically and someone needs to sell something often because out of desperation of bills pilling up.
Lmao the second he said his asking price I would have laughed him out of the store and said we’re done here
They've been appraised at this value prior to the show
@@michaelmatthews2759 don’t care. That’s preposterous money for a figurine
@@david05111 collectible action figures often sell for prices even above that, I agree that it's a little preposterous, however the president has been said that people are willing to pay these prices
Never even seen those that’s 🔥
1 of 1 lego pieces are way overhyped... I don't want to collect it unless it came in a regular retail set
Don't worry. You couldn't afford it anyway
Brokie mentality
@@thegreatpiginthesky3904 you're god damn right 😭 you've gotta be minted to have that much disposable income
Thats kind of redicoulus. The solid gold boba fett was 1/2, and sold for about 35k. The r2d2 is estimated at about 11k I think on brickeconomy.
Jesus!! - I thought Rick had a hair transplant 😂
Geez, Cody is SO smart. I bet he appreciates Google!!!
Will never sell both for $500,000.
In this lifetime.
You're right... they're actually worth that PER FIGURE now. The right buyer will actually pay for it.
Never - ever. Even the prince of A Saudi Kingdom - who has enough to buy a million of those. Wouldn’t.
Guaranteed.
If you had enough money maybe you would. But both will not sell remotely close to those #’s.
This show is rigged.
Rigged big time
Ist halt Show wie du sagst es dient der Unterhaltung keiner hat was von real gesagt
rigged how?
Rigged? It's not a competition.. If you mean scripted, then yes, partially. The sellers are real. They apply to be on the show with their items, and then they make a segment out of it.
It’s a show 😂
The appraiser looks like the chicken man from Toy Story 2 😂😂 you know you recognised him
You mind if I take a look ?
No problem, absolutely...
Cracks open the packaging
Man don’t know know anything about lego tf
That guy is so delusional to even think for a second they're worth that kind of $. Even the expert went high. He should've taken the $50,000 & ran.
A certain vatriation of the Spider-Man minifig (plastic) sells for almost 10k, the 14k C3-PO has an asking price of around 200k. Don’t think he’s that delusional
You obviously haven't seen the lego market before.
Cory resembles his old man rick so much nowadays lol besides the hair
cories voice changed so much after the weight loss its insane
Lmao it would break your heart to part with Lego you think is worth 250k? Telling me would rather have a Lego figure over a house ? What a 🤡
He wasn't even planning on selling in the first place, probably just wanted to show off
@Maul_360 just jealous you don’t have this kind of money to spend on toys…you the real 🤡
@@noahleonard7772 even though if he had that kind of money i don't think he will spend 500k on two bronze Legos... if they are silver or gold versions then maybe but.. there are very less star wars collectors who would spend 500k though.. not people with money but people with interest or collectors.. elon musk bill gates have a lot but they would never buy Legos like those.. just saying
Did you watch the video? One of them was White gold. Dont know why youd think musk would consider himself above making an investments in something like this either.
I mean there are lots of items like that thousands for something you can hold in your hand
That look 4:10 when expert tells you it's worth 50k lol. Pawnstars gives lowball offers though some of these owners are insane.
That guy was crazy! 😅
Surprised Steve grad wasn't called in to check out these rare Star Wars pieces
I always take one of a kind collectables to a pawn shop.
Jack Osbourne lookin bad!!
Everyone forgets about the 23k gold commemorative card set they did in the 90’s for the empire strikes back :(
Yeah it's pretty cool, best i can do is this old pirate lego head, and the flag of his ship
Starwars & pawn stars … let me rolled up a blunt , this is about to be good !
