Thousands of folks venture out to the Black Hills every year for the Sturgis Rally and unfortunately a large percentage of them are not prepared for the possible pitfalls that could befall them out in the hills. But never fear we are here to help, we have a few quick tips to make your trip go smoother.

Awesome advise! I would also add; follow the speed limit through the turns and curves. My 1st time out was last year, and the roads were certainly different that what I'm used to on the East Coast. Slow it down and enjoy the scenery. I will be back in a few weeks for the 80th!

Rain is pretty easily avoided with a weather app on your phone. Trick is, outside of scheduled concerts, be open on what days you're doing what, this way you check your app and go where the rain isn't. Been going to Sturgis for over 10 years and never been rained on.

All your points are valid EXCEPT one...ain't no way in hell that good riding weather is available 8mos of the year. Maybe for you cold weather folks but for us Deep South folks it'd only encompass June-September.

It really sucks how politicized everything has to be. I don't even want to go this year. Everyone is so full of hate. Antifa is not coming to your party. They never were. Antifa is like 100 punk kids. You give them too much credit. Judging by the comments most of you are going in hopes they show.
