    I am making this for my engineering project. Always wanted to make one as i made a single stage coilgun in HS. Thanks for the info bro.

    Found your videos while looking for videos on the Rigol oscilloscope. Very interesting. I hope you finish this project 👍🏼

    Some people waste all time just with planning, thinking and taking. But some people does the work.

    I am doing one too! I am going for IGBT for the High Voltage switching

    I'm also testing ideal coil wire, turns, geometry. Would really like to hear the findings. I'm having better results with thicker wire. I posted some comparisons on my channel.

    could you make a list of all parts you used

    Question not related to this video but have you made any more progress on the cycloidal drive. Would love to see more of it

      I think the design is finalized. I just need to get some aluminum and a bunch of bearings.

    Good luck! Looking forward to you winding a coil. Are you doing it by hand? What are your plans for this?

      I usually wind coils by hand, but I’ll probably put the pipe in the chuck of a drill and wind it that way.

    What if you turn all coils on? Wouldn't they make a single magnetic field? Pulling the projectile to the middle of all coils instead of the individual coils. You then just turn off the coils one by one the same way as described.

    • @LeviJanssen
      @LeviJanssen  Před 4 lety +1

      That would be ideal, but if you’re using capacitors you store your energy, you’re not just turning the coils on. The discharge lasts for only a fraction of a second, and the maximum force is instantaneous.
