I got laid off in April 2023 and since then have made dua for a job every single time in sujood. Doing the math, I must’ve made tens of thousands of duas total for a job, and thousands of duas for a job to marry a woman I had in mind.
Still nothing 🙂

I got made redundant back in October last year. I had 16 job interviews, but the tech industry was doing massive lay offs, so finding a role was insanely difficult, especially with much brighter people on the market then me. I even considered mid level (i wss a senior) with almost a 40% wage cut, and still couldnt land anything.
Alhumdullillah fast forward go now, and i have landed a great role. What i did?
1) Tahajjud
2) Know that if you didnt land a role u wanted, just say "alhumdullillah" and move on. Only allah knows what calamities he has saved you from for that job.
3) Take all the notes of this series from Safina Society and implement it.
4) Say Astaghfaar as much as you can. In excess of 1000 per day. Before bed, after prayer, when you working, walking etc
5) Send Salawat upon Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Inshallah you will land your job. I was in the exact same boat as you, and even burnt through all my savings. Allah gave me exactly what i wanted in the end, in terms of role, opportunity, salary, and title. Just never give up!

I have a ques. If a parent makes a dua against a child from having kids, and here I am making dua for children for awhile now. Does it mean that my parent dua was accepted? How do I fix this? I mean asking for children to expand the ummah is a good thing in it of itself.. I'm kind alost here
