Something that would be nice to share on these insights: The weather through out the year. Like rainy season or cyclone probability. As well as percentage of times power outage and internet outage.
The cost of living in Penang Malaysia is low but the financial threshold to get a retirement visa is high. They just announced a new fixed deposit requirement of min RM500,000+ (US$107,400) and still haven't released the monthly income requirement. The rules keep changing which makes it hard for retirees to plan. On the plus side, you can stay up to 90 days on a tourist visa.

Exactly. These islands look like great vacation spots, but the infrastructure - including high quality hospitals- and healthcare is the most important to retirees. Actually, for anyone, regardless of age.

Not a bad list, but there are a lot of other islands which are (arguably) just as good or better. How about Mauritius or Madeira? There are some lovely islands in the Philippines where your money goes a long way.
I think the requirements to get a permanent stay visa to Ireland is relatively high? Something like demonstrating incone of $100k per person per year.
Northern Cyprus is a good place to retire for west europeans🎉
