  • Hello! This is an honest review of the Spotify playlisting website, www.playlister.club. I noticed there were not really any reviews online for this site beside the paid advertisements from the company. In this video I will share my numbers, analytics from artist.spotify, and results.
This review is not trash or to promote Playlister.club, but to only give my honest feedback and actual numbers for you, the public to decide.

Thank you for the insightful information. I'm also a recording artist whose genre is primarily Smooth Jazz and Instrumental Pop. I have used Playlister Club for months with minimal success. My music has been placed on several playlists, but the numbers (as well as some of the reviews) were less than satisfactory. I'll give an example. One comment I have received stated, "Good vibes, nice vocals." Hold on. What song were they listening to? My music is totally Instrumental; there are no vocals. Another review I have received is a song that has received excellent reviews from other sources, but this one critic said, "Very repetitive, falls short in the middle of the song." This is when I knew something was wrong. My response to a lot of critics and naysayers who give less than satisfactory reviews is this: "If you came here expecting to hear the kind of stuff you want to hear, this is not your album." That's been my motto from day one and I stand by it 💯.
There's also a saying on some sites (and I think these people are phony, just my personal opinion) that say, "You gotta invest in your career." While that may be true, there's a difference between "wise" investments and "unwise" investments. Paying for streams is not wise at all; let alone, it can cause a song, album or entire profile to be removed from Spotify. I've seen this happen with so many independent artists. It's not worth it. My analysis is this: everyone who is an independent artist is already successful and prolific. If one only receives a small number of streams, they have reached a lot of people. Success is not determined by a streaming site's perception of it, it is determined by the artist's dedication to the art.
From my perspective, Playlister Club just doesn't cover the music that I do and it just isn't worth the time or money for me. Streams don't really pay. A stream is only worth a small fraction of a penny. My music is released on audio CDs. This is the month that I will be ending my relationship with Playlister Club and remain focused on my craft. My music will never change, and these reviews will not cause me to change my genre.
Thank you very much for the information on this. Great minds think alike. Much Success to You and Your Music.

Quality content. I've noticed that indiefaction playlist too. It's interesting that Spotify doesn't do anything about them when it's obviously some kind of bot thing. It's frustrating that they target indie artists and potentially get them in trouble (or mess up their chance of getting on algo playlists) without the indie artist even wanting to be on that playlist. I'm hopeful that Spotify is aware that artists are being added to these bot playlists without their consent.

Thank you for the comment. I emailed support@Spotify and they never got back to me about this issue. So, they probably don't care, lol. If you see yourself on any of these playlists, email the curator and they will take you off. And you are right that bot generated data is only going to hurt you in the end. I reccomend just sticking to ads for marketing versus any type of playlist service. Good luck with the music!

Thanks for the content! I almost registered with this outfit, then something told me to research any reviews there might be. Just possibility there could be bot infiltration is a deal breaker for me. Streams are good, obviously, but retention is even better imo.

just glancing at the streams per listener and after looking up the songs, these might not have been the right ones to pitch, intro at the beginning and no hook out the gate. playlisters like very specific formats from my experience. would love to see this tried again with a more hook heavy song or one that is catchy. keep up the good work

    • @zmanzbrah

I would agree with that but they claim they have 93,000 playlists so if this true , then there is playlist for any type of song or artist in the markety (that is what they also claim) again they are claiming this....lol.

Two questions were you seeing live listeners as you were on the Spotify for artist app?
How much of the numbers do you believe were botted/legit?

    • @zmanzbrah
      @zmanzbrah  Před rokem +5

Hey! Thanks for the question. Around 1 or 2 at a time. You aren't going to get any major boosts with this service but you will get some so if you have nothing then may be its good, And....
Honestly, it is very hard to say like I mentioned in the video there are other playlists that will add you on their playlist hoping you will email them because you see your streams go up out of no where, so you pay(I did this any they all ask for a fee) but they are fake and bot streams. Mostly, you are paying for playlisters that have no clout. I don't know how they do it but you see some of them have 30k likes to their playlist and I got 2 steams in a whole month, wtf, lol.
I recommend checking out my other video with budgets $100 and $25 for facebook ads you get real listeners and real followers. Good luck whatever you decide and ask any other questions you may have! Cheers!

Hi there thanks a lot for this upload. I have been contacted today by one of their reps asking me if I want to join their A&R programme as I do compile playlists. So it seems it's not bot driven. However, it breaks my heart seeing that their asking 40 USD for a campaign, I studied music business so I know how hard it is to break-even... I will have another look at their email tomorrow and I will dig deeper... not sure how this works, and I like to do my own due diligence when adding tracks to my playlists without being forced to over-produce the output in terms of quantity and quality... cheers xo

Hello Rosa, I received that same email with twice to two different accounts. So, just beware. You may not use bots but in my experience a lot of the larger playlists followings do unfortunately. Yes, you are exactly right, the return is not good that is why you have to look long term like a business, expect to invest in yourself now and hopefully down the road you can start making that money back. There are many outlets to do this once you have developed a loyal fanbase. Anything is possible, just takes time and consistency. Thanks for watching and good luck with the music!

Will not lie, listened to the whole EP... Yes music is subjective, but I do not think objectively speaking, the EP is something that was (or is at this time) desired over by the common consumer. Are there people who will listen to it? Absolutely, though he went down 4x his old monthly listeners, he still has about 450 so obviously people still like it. I just agree with the playlisters as to why it might not take off.
Also to bring up placement points, regardless 11k or 45k followers, that does NOT guarantee your song being played. Most songs are put into a playlist of hundreds of songs to begin with, and remember that they likely built the playlist up overtime. How often do you listen to other peoples playlists instead of your own? I am not saying this as an insult or as a "you are wrong", but you do have to remember that activity among following is fraction.

    • @wethegamers870

@@zmanzbrah Think it comes down to the factors you said. 1. Do you have the money to spend, 2. are you unknown enough where ANY views is good views (e.i. having under 100-200 monthly listeners), and 3. is it produced well enough where there is a target audience for it. Seeing that you were able to mass up thousands of monthly listeners via this EP and your own song you made, I do think it would be worth the money to set on if you are just starting out. Though being where you are at right now (14k ish monthly listeners), obviously someone like you, it won't benefit that much for $50-200 for an extra 1-2k monthly listeners. At your stage, you can probably use your 14k to get free features from people under 10k listeners and grow through their fanbase as well. Though someone like me (only 100 monthly listeners and just started), it is likely worth the money to get on playlists.
As far as the site goes, I am 50/50. I don't think the playlists are entirely fake, just filled with inactive followers who don't use the playlists that much. I did do it though for 30 days for one song with $48 price, and so far a day later, I have gotten 9 placements. I would be happy to share my results with you for the song at the end of 30 days if you wanted another base for an updated follow up video.
