IAF fighter pilots share their experience at multinational military exercise, Orion in France

- France launched its biggest military exercise in decades, together with its NATO Allies. Lieutenant Shivangi Singh and Flight Lieutenant Xavier took part in the multinational ‘War-Game’ Exercise 'Orion' at Mont-de-Marsan in France. Flight Lieutenant Shivangi is the first and only female Rafale fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force. Flight Lieutenant Xavier shared his experience and said the performances of Indian pilots were at par or even better in some parts of the exercise. The drills are conducted over several months, starting in late February and ending in May 2023. The peak of the exercise is scheduled from late April to early May, in north-eastern France. During this phase, around 12,000 troops will be deployed on the ground and in the skies to repel a simulated high-intensity attack.

@@direwolf7491 114 are also bare minimum . China has 200 J 20 and we only have 36 Rafale to counter them . We need atleast 42 squadrons (this number is also outdated) and we have just 31 of them . 2 squadrons of mig 21 will retire next year leaving us to 29 . And this number isn't made by me , it is allocated under MARFA deals and decided by higher officials .

There should never bragging because your enemy will not care who is flying the plane. Always overestimate your enemy so that you will be prepared for all eventuality as IAF learned against Pak during a dog fight after the BALAKOT strike when it pilot was captured and his outdated Mig 21 was destroyed by the F16.
Lmfao, one F-16 was destroyed by an outdated MiG-21. Everyone knows how bad MiG 21 is and so India is retiring it for good. Still, it's no joke to shoot down an F-16 with the flying coffin.

You avoid that in populated areas. Peeps are not going to be happy with sonic booms.
You are mistaken, you might not be aware of exercise Vayusakti and the likes. They include the Sonic boom and pretty much everything that an IAF pilot should do. Please watch those videos.
