- This is what quarantine is like in Japan when you come back to Japan from abroad.
In my case, I came back from The Netherlands which is designated as a high-risk country by the government. Therefore, the first 3 days of my quarantine was a bit different.
Here is how my quarantine in Japan was like.
This case was for me Japanese so I am not sure if you are not from Japan.

1. Did you refer to a list of government recommended hotels to do the 11 day self quarantine? Or will any hotel/private place do?
2. Did you have to book your airbnb before coming to Japan?
3. Did you have to disclose to the airbnb that you are doing quarantine there?

Oooh, I've only been to Japan for a short 2 weeks before. Went to Yokohama and Tokyo and I'm dying to go back, if only for a while.
In fact, had there not been a pandemic, I would've gone to Japan with my iaido kohai. We would've had 2 months to train at one of our sensei's dojo + a few to 4 weeks to enjoy Japan as tourists :(
I also could not travel much when I was in The Netherlands due to COVID. Let's hope we can travel again next year or later this year!
After the 3-day quarantine, it is okay to continue the remaining 11 days of self-quarantine at any hotel in Tokyo that is not accredited as a quarantine hotel by Japan? Thank you in advance!

1). after ending the 3 day quarantine do they drop you back at airport or you can go by your car directly from the hotel?
2). is there a microwave in the Govt specified hotel?
1. I could go from the hotel, but somewhere I read they first bring you to the airport so I think it depends on which hotel you stay.
2. No there wasn't. I think other places don't have it either.
Lol we have smoking rooms in Narita quarantine and people are provided with cigarettes when they choose the smoking rooms
i really hope i won't have to quarantine when i go to study in japan in october ... but this actually looks very okay lol

After the 3-Day Hotel Quarantine, are you the one to pay for your 11-day quarantine? Are you not allowed to go back to your own house and also, are you allowed to go outside just to buy some groceries/food?

Yes I was paying for that. Yes I was allowed to go out for buying food but it is not like they check me strictly. Actually, some people are doing whatever they want and that is the problem. This rule is probably different now so you should always be up to date!!

Yeah I think they should do this in every country three day four day quarantine when you come home it's the best to keep the viruses low I guess that's why the United States is the worst though right

Hearing United States we only have a 5-day quarantine from the time you contract covid and if you still have covid you can still go out but after 5 days they say here in America you do not contract or give covid to people which I don't believe if you're still showing positive for covid and you're still having flu like symptoms and still having symptoms even 5 days after covid you're still contagious it's crazy we got covid and we go to a methadone clinic every day we only have to dose outside our clinic and take medical transport covid medical transport for 5 days that's it they said after 5 days you're not contagious anymore I don't believe because I was around somebody after that 5 days and they got covid from me
