xMylonoxoxo X it's and inside joke, the new Berlin airport should have been opened in 2011, but there are so many things wrong with the building that it won't be opened for a few years (there is no official opening date but it won't be before spring of 2018). Well the gluten free situation is becoming better and despite de video description if you are vegetarian/vegan its quite easy to live here. Vegetarianism and Reformhäuser (shops where you can buy goods, that support a healthy life style) have a long tradition in Germany. Berlin is kind of the vegan capital of Europe and thanks to many "flexitarians" (semi-vegetarians) you can get more and more vegan products in regular supermarkets

Hi from Germany. Your video is great with some facts I didn't even know. But there where a few misspellings in the end ;)
Thanks for sharing
It's called Lower Saxony cause the altitude is lower than the actual Saxony. It has nothing to do with it being north or south.
Especially if you take into consideration, that older maps do not always have north at the top of the map
It has also nothing to do with the altitude.
The same is true of how they classify the German dialect continuum. Southern Germany has High German dialects; Northern Germany has Low German dialects.
still general people would thought it supposed to be locating more southern than saxony. but yeah. i'm okay with it

Low german is simuliar to Dutch
Kinda like Niederbayern ("lower Bavaria") is north of Oberbayern ("upper Bavaria") because Oberbayern has the alps and is therefore mostly on higher ground
also german maps used to be the other way around, pointing towards rome... which also would explain why all lowers are more north??
I am 25 and live in Germany and I have heard only once in my lifetime about a "tornado" in Germany. And it was rather small.

Damn you really made me feel proud to be a german, great Video💯

Heh. I can't speak for the entire Poland, but in Upper Silesia (Oberschlesien in German) where I live, except for one person I have never heard anything bad being said in real life about current Germany... But even that one person during the course of the last twenty years went from "They all have evil in their genome, that's why WWII had happened" to "They speak too loud... But not as loud as Italians". Believe me or not, she is even planning to visit you the next year.
"Just to see Nefertiti", hah.
In other words, you are so amazing right now, that you have changed someone's heart ❤️! And trust me, it is a very stubborn heart.
However, please keep in mind, that due to it's history Upper Silesia have pretty strong cultural ties with Germany, so things may look different in other parts of my country ... But to be honest, Poland in general has strong ties with you. Don't let the language difference fool you, we are basically your Slavic cousins.
If anybody have any further questions, I would love to answer 🙂

I’ll remember this for my world conquest ❤️
Lower Saxony being north of Saxony follows the same logic as the four way split reagions of the Allgäu mostly in Bavaria with East- and West- and then Under- and Over- allgäu.
The logic is quite literal: which is higher up. Being further north is farther away from the Alps and closer to the sea.

It's not even that every Bundesland has it's own dialects and traditions, but rather every 50km people may be completely different. I live on the right side of the rhine and it took me a while to get used to the dialect 5km across on the other side haha
Every Bundesland has a ton of smaller regions that sometimes differ drastically from each other despite being neighbours
Also, don't call the whole of Baden-Württemberg Swabians because some people from there may throw rocks at you for that 😉
