- Vampire Survivors Part 57 - it finally happened, I started with the wicked season arcana and doubled it with Gains. The XP growth begins early and it grows fast. 1,500 levels is sick, but remember that enemies grow in HP alongside your leveling up. Surely this won't cause any problems, right?

@Universe Dawn there is no limit to any stat aslong as you are using golden eggs, I've seen people with stats that have like 30 zeros behind them.because they have like 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 eggs, I've seen people have an egg stat that didn't even display as a single number anymore it went something like 10.2972E52 people are insain on this game

15:26 The 25 minute bosses of each map typically unlock Hypermode for that map when you beat them, and as a result are unique enemies you only see on that map once per run. They usually have special resistances like immunity to instant kill effects or resistance to knockback. That's why here the weird biblically accurate angel looking enemy dashed straight at you through your swords barely getting slowed down.
Pretty sure this is what Dracula does as well, that or he’s just so fast that knockback almost doesn’t matter
Regarding Death at the end of the game, he's a bit more devious.
He has instakill protection and a few other things similar to the 25 minute bosses, but he has 655350 HP x your Level (way too much to defeat under normal circumstances), one hit kills almost anyone he attacks, and has 200% knockback immunity. This means when you hit him, he moves towards you, meaning you can't keep him away using attacks - doing so just makes it worse, in fact, as it makes him go towards you faster.
Just so you know, giving bounces to heaven sword and many others is often not good, because it keeps projectiles from disappearing and results in you always being at the pool limit(like ~50 projectiles) which keeps you from shooting more projectiles because there is already too many on screen.
which in turn actually begins to cap your damage as upgrades are not applied to attacks untill after the upgrade ticks (excluding arcana effects like the +/- effects

@@WanderTheNomad often yeah, but if its just a casual run and you know you wont constantly be hitting the pool limit, then more duration should be better. Ultimately, it depends on what weapons you have.
@@WanderTheNomad duration doesnt actually synergize at all, if anything it feels like it has antisynergy because it makes the collapse take longer between each one.... it is good for the 2nd spell (and small aoe one) but its not so great i find for the union form because the longer the duration the longer the windup to the screen clear explosion and damage buff
the spells in order each scale off proj speed for spellstream then area for spellshot and finally might for spellstrike, and the union inherits all 3

Gains is one of my absolute favorite characters, though if you REALLY want to break everything, take the blue mage and limit break her using the projectile speed arcana and the area arcana (after 50 levels they both provide ONLY benefits, and both scale the Spellstrom's damage as the first spell scales off projectile speed and the second scales off area
It would be really useful if there was a stat priority list that you can move around and then have an option like "preferred stat always" that way you get the stats you want without the menus

Honestly, in Vampire Survivors it's probably not that many. You can complete all unlocks in less than 50 hours easily. Granted, for a game this cheap it's still amazing how you can get out of it before reaching the point of complete repetition.

One thing I noticed is that you always take Spinach which at max lvl gives +50% might
But you already have all permanent stats maxed out, so you start with around 120% might. And spinach does not increase that by +50% but it is simply added to it so instead of +33% dmg increase you get around a +18% dmg increase, so if you were to discard this somewhat marginal dmg increase you could take an another item which may be more helpful
Something oddly satisfying about watching those levels climb and that EXP roll in.

Heaven Sword used to be one of the most disappointing limit breaks and nowadays it's one of the most fun ones. Still gotta be careful the weapon doesn't break with too much area/speed (it spawns outside and disappears), but with the bouncing Arcana that never happens. It also has the highest damage scaling since it's crit is 5x damage, not 4x damage most wepaons have. In the past, you used to shoot out only 1 sword and with enough cooldown reduction sometimes 2, but that was changed and now more amount shoots out more swords, which makes a ginormous difference since it effectively multiplies the area of your weapon.
I do recommend Hyper Mode and Inverse Mode though, the Hyper Mode bonus projectile speed helps a ton to clear enemies faster, but also makes them more dangerous. The benefit being that you can sacrifice a revival to get to a point where you clear all enemies really quickly. And Inverse Mode allows to pick up a second Arcana, like Silent Old Sanctuary if you want an easy run, or Boogaloo of Illusions if you want a way harder start that pays off rather quickly

These editors never disappoint.
I found the Red Cloak from the second candybox, as well as the distant items like the rings and the arrows, totally worth it in these sorts of builds, as well as toronnas box. Red Cloak caps on upgrades pretty dang fast, and dramatically increases survivability against random bosses that occasionally out scale you. Infinite corridor is another option, but it does eat more of your levels
i just managed a run in this game where i pulled off lvl 1819, hit refresh on my youtube feed and this pops up. its making for a good evening.
i remember when you did your first highest level run and it was like level 111 or 121, boy this a a big improvement from then.
I think one of the most interesting things to me is seeing the game over screen appear and then get overwritten by the stage complete pop up. You somehow both won and lost

A funny thing about the arcana "Wicked Season": Because of the extreme curse scaling and curse doubling, you can reach a point at which you take damage without enemies being close to you, because their movement speed is so fast that they reach you on the same tick as they spawn and die at the same moment because your constant damage is high enough. So you just bleed out constantly while double curse is active. And that is pretty much what happened at the end. The reaper was just so fast that he killed you while the enemies were evaporating.

wow those stats are crazy, but this game does just give you the means to be crazy. I retired a character because I ended up accidentally farming over 300 eggs with him by stumbling upon a hidden area in abyss late into the run.

YAAAAAS FINALLY IT HAPPENED
It probably would've been worthwhile to pick up Metaglio Left. You had a nice long time of being scaled better than the enemies, and could've taken those elites without much trouble, and trading a mere 8 levelups for 40% more HP would've saved you some revives. Even if I'm not otherwise interested in the items guarded by the elites, it usually seems worthwhile to beat them up for their eggs.
Also, for random weapon in the middle of a Limit Break run purposes, the upgraded Clock Lancet only benefits from Duration on Limit Break, to a max of 10 levels; this doesn't throw off progression too far, especially if you're doing a Wicked Season build. It trades off a little of the purity of a Limit Break run, but being able to halve the HP of all enemies on screen would make the endgame more profitable, and it's always nice to end a run by killing Death.

I started playing the other night and felt proud getting to the 8 minute mark. Then I watched this...
one build i really wanted to get going is Babi-Onna with pentagram/gorgeous moon, since it activates pentagram so much but its so hard to get the needed levels because pentagram activates so much
Sadly it bugs out after a few levels and becomes not so great.
babi onna is such a crappy character imo... and trying to do a pentagram run is pain with her in general

With the wicked season arcana the extra curse from skull is neglectable in high level runs like this. Because you get 1% extra curse every 2 levels. He had more than 800% curse at the end, and over 1600% when the curse doubling was active.
Even Torona wouldn't make a big difference here, the extra 100% curse are a lot in a normal run, but if you're already at 800% you won't even notice a difference.
Also there is just not enough space to spawn more enemys after a certain amount of curse. And enemies get so fast that you can't kill them anymore, like here at 28:00 to 29:00. That's because knockback just reverses enemies movement, and since they are so fast, if you hit them you just push them out so far, that they instantly despawn.
@@certainlynotmalo1.0.06 the curse is mutiplactive. even though he had 800 curse so it might seem that extra 100 wont matter but actuly will. since its multiplctive so this 100 will end up at least as 350

Its additive. If you're at the base 100%, torona would double your curse to 200%, which reads as +100% in the stats. If you then take skull, you're at 250%(+150% in the stats) which is already only a 25% increase. And if you start whith the extra 50% from power ups, torona doesn't even double your curse.
When you start with +50% (so 150% total) then take skull for another 50% (200% total) adding 100% gets you to a total of 300%. At that point torona doesn't double the curse anymore, it only adds half of what you had. So despite it adding 100%, at that point it's only +50% of your curse at that time. And if you're at +800% (900% total) the extra 100% brings you to a total of 1.000%. So the 100% extra curse means in this case only an increase of about 10%. The definition of additive.
Health is different though, that's really multiplicative. Here it matters in what order you take the uprades, you can get to pretty different numbers depending on the order you get them.
With curse the order is irrelevant, if you take the same items, you always end up at the same number. That's one way to define additive, the outcome is always the same, making order irrelevant.

la borra is the best limit break weapon, u can go to the infinity mode and be alive standing for hours probably, its too good (its very laggy tho)

When you thought you weren't killing enemies you were actually at the coin cap and all new coins were being fed into the super coin
Look at the kill counter. At 28 to 29 minutes it was almost frozen. With 800% curse (or 1600% at the curse doubling) the enemies get so fast that knockback just pushes them out of existence if you don't one shot them, and they despawn. They spawn, you hit them, they despawn and an enemy with full health takes his place. Knockback reverses the movement of enemies, and if they are not resistant against it like wave 29 to 30 min here, that's what happens. But even knockback resistance doesn't help after some point.
There should be a limit to how much knockback an enemy can take, it can be pretty frustrating since enemies health scales with your level, and inverse mode qadruples enemies health(base 100% + 300%, so 400%). That means at high curse/level even normal enemies health can go way over 1.000.000 if i remember correctly.
It's frustrating if you don't get kills anymore in the last two minutes, since they give by far the most experience. 3:39
So on level 40 you get bonus exp and if you pick it up after a while and with wicked season exp 2x when you wouldn't be capable of surviving any more you can get to level 200-500 in one go.
That's if you pick it up after managing to wait for a long long while, while you are still on level 40.
Should've gone for silver ring for even more area, lol. Also I wonder if Metaglio Left's regen might've been able to save you at the end.
Other than the invincible Menya, I found the Caterpillar to be the most surprising character. You want to avoid it because the cost but it is the Midas of VS
Once it gets to that 1% might being the only buff left, picking a second weapon seems to actually mathematically be better
crit chance is important on the swords for one shotting potential. Especially if you get slash arcana as well
Also the +3 bounces only works if the swords don't clip into the edges of the screen, as that eats all the bounces, making it a wasted arcana slot
I think this just goes to show how well they did coding this game. Even with all that craziness, the game just keeps powering through without crashing

funfact: full screen clears are pretty bad in this game, because the game spawns enemies to match the clear so if you get a weapon to the point that it kills all enemies them spawning will push past your knockback and hit you.

Tyler, one thing that I’ve noticed is that you keep taking the Silent Old Sanctuary arcana when doing the limit break runs. I think you should know, it gives +20% might and +8% cooldown for every empty ACTIVE weapon slot meaning that when you disable 5 of them, you can only have the one remanning weapon slot count towards it, which you start with a weapon in it effectively voiding that arcana from doing you any good other than the rerolls, skips, and banishes. Keep up the great content!
That isn't how the arcana works. It gives its buffs for each empty slot below six, regardless of if you've set a lower max weapon limit. You can see in the stats that his cooldown is already halved as soon as he takes the arcana.
This arcana that buffs the weapon in a single slot don't work if you actually restric the run to 1 weapon in the menu. You have to enable 6 weapons and banish every weapon in the game to mantain 5 slots empty
It looked like amount maxed at +7 last time, so it might cap here too. Edit: It capped at +3 from what I can see. That either depends on weapon or character, but probably weapon.
limit-broken amount doesn't show in the stats because it's specific to each weapon. that's why he also didn't have huge might, are and speed in his stats
