  • In this video I´m going to show you how to create from scratch a full battery pack to repair/rectify or fabricate your own e-bike battery pack.
    I used the famous 18650 battery cells, on my case I bought Liitokala cells because the reliability of them however you can use what ever you want for this propose.

      Hi, The BMS it works as expected, it is controlling the overgarge and overdischarge as expected, the maximum voltage registered on the packs are 4.17Vdc avg, and the minimum is 3.78Vdc, so always between the expected levels to ensure the live of the batteries.
      Yes, you can reuse the original Sparta Charger, is the one I use every day.
      For your information the max range obtained so far was 135Km with one charge with medium assistance level and changing between med and low 178km, I charge the bike every week or so, very convenience.

    what about registering the battery with the system, any idea on how to do that without going to official dealers?

    • @josmeijer
      @josmeijer Před 3 lety

      Not. You are to open the hub motor, dispose of all the printed circuitboards inside, solder the three wires to the wires that come from the coils of the motor and close it again. Use a cheap Chinese e-bike controller like nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005001519752387.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dfrXLR3 (you see one in the background).
      You can, but don't have to lead the hall sensor wires outside. It will work adequately without.
      And you shall have to save more on the motor wire diametre than is good to get it all through the hole. But I know it has been done
      You do need to use a PAS sensor on the pedal (in Holland that's law) or a throttle controller.
      The torque-sensor on the rear axle that is used originally cannot be used without extra logic (which you have to design and build yourself)
