In 2004, Barry Bonds had a win probability added of 12.958 despite playing in only 147 games. That is by far the highest single season total in baseball history.

Barry Bonds = best left-handed hitter ever to play the game period. Bonds didn't merely hit a baseball... He DESTROYED IT.

Final season where he hit 40+ homeruns after that season and almost throughout 2005 he was mostly on the shelf because of 3 knee surgeries

Barry Bonds was walked intentionally 120 times in 2004, 232 times overall. Imagine how many more home runs would he have hit if he wasn’t sooooooooo feared by pitchers and managers.

His stats at season were insane. 360 three at-bats 45 homeruns 232 walks. He just did not miss. He was lucky if he got one pitch a game to hit and he very rarely missed it

i read a stat once if you add up his career walks it adds up to something like 5 years of ABs for an every day player.
He was still an elite offensive player even in his last couple injury seasons. He did some of it to himself, some of it he didn’t, but he could have easily gone to an AL team and brought legitimate value as a DH for
multiple seasons if he wasn’t blackballed

Sometimes I wonder how he was even able to hit 30 home runs from 2002-2004 with how many times he was walked or pitched around, especially in 2004
Kinda surreal that 2001 was the only season he hit 50+ home runs (he did hit 49 in 2000).

after that, MLB pitchers collectively decided to throw many balls far away from Bonds hit zone.
