Anna-Jane Casey & Sophie-Louise Dann in Chita/Rita from Forbidden Broadway Recorded Live at The Menier Chocolate Factory LONDON 2009 with Nathan Martin at the piano
What makes it even funnier is they such good friends in real life. Anytime some ( idiot) reporter confuses them they handle it with such grace and tact. I honestly don't think they think look a like at all especially now that Rita wears her hair gray.
That's the joke. Because Chita originated Anita on Broadway, while Rita got more popular exposure for doing the movie, which reached a wider audience. Hence the Rita character taunting the Chita character with a joke about the situation repeating with Kiss.
Great fun but it would have been better if Anna-Jane had done her part with an American accent since Chita never talks like than except when making a joke or playing the part of Anita.
RIP Chita Rivera, 1933-2024.
Incredible Chita and incredible Rita.
I love it! Perfect and fun!

My favorite song from the show, even more than Liza One Note.
Jonah Falcon I sing both Liza one note and I Rita in Chita and Rita in the show performing in 3 weeks
@@djne7651 I wasn't in NYC.
Perfect!
Brava! Brava!
Ironically, it was Chita would was the Spider Woman on Broadway.

I saw Chita twice in Spiderwoman...wow!
"I'd sooner die"
"You probably will"
They're both 90 and still working.
Rita was born in 1931 and Chita in 1933 and they are still active
This is the best version but it’s hilarious because neither of them sound like that lol
that's the point and lost on many of the party pooper posters here - I have sen both in person and they love to put on the faux accent for a laugh!
Ruthie Henshall. Lol!!!!
Yep, I laughed there too. Although I already have sore ribs from laughing throughout!
