The key to Pedi's act is in the transitions. I love that she has characters which help her to ease the shift from one voice to the next. Those transition voices include Hepburn, Rivers, Davis, and O'Donnell. She sounds nothing like Ethel, but you can tell she loves that character. Her Bernadette is supreme, however I'm noticing that her mock-vocal fatigue (a Bernadette signature in recent years) might be creeping in on her natural voice a bit.
The “expert” ladies and gentlemen. Funny who you said with such authority that her Merman sound “NOTHING” like Merman and yet I, and the audience, immediately knew who she was doing.
