The velcro "finsavers" are also MUCH more durable - any small cut on the rubber/elastic "finsavers", which can happen easily on reef, will cause them to tear when they are stretched to put on!

What if you have to order online how dose a 5mm sock affect sizing needed?

We find a 3mm sock takes the size up about one size but... as explained in the video, one manufacturer size 9 will not necessary be anothers. The 5mm is around 2 sizes up but, not easy to be certain. This is why it is always best to go into a dive shop to try on fins. This is the same problem sometimes when ordering shoes on line.
