When I was young I looked up to Theo sooo much. He was always like 7 years older or so. So he was the cool dude for me. And that whole Cosby family (the show) was exemplary.
I a Moroccan in Amsterdam didnt have many or none to identitfy with on tv. Its so weird that minorities from.a whole different country still identify more with each other than with the white majority in their country. (Reminds me of that Ed OG verse: 'Cause every minority grow up hard' )
Theo was so cool and especially when he became a young adult or teen. Makes me very nostalgic to think back and when the tv screen brought my very disfunctional family together to watch a tv show about a family that was extremely exemplary. And when a screen (when it was only one and few programmes) brought a fam together instead of dividing.
Fun just for the kiddies. Thanks for the memories. 2021
