Everyone from that era will never forget this commerical.. The tagline, " No my brother you have to get your own," is golden.
You don't even have to say the whole line. If I say, "No, my brother" about anything, you know it means, " We're cool, but no" 😎

Yep!! Some companies will run a commercial 20+'plus yrs. Here in Chicago,it was the same car towing company,a rug company and a furniture company that ran the same 1 with scenes & backgrounds looking like the early 80s & i remember seeing dem wit da local cable programming up to the early 2000s 😂😂😂

This is a true throw back
When I met this actor OF COURSE I had to say the line! He chuckled and was such a humble gentleman. RIP my friend. ❤
Didn't know he died
@@jaymillymills yes, back in the 90s.
I remembered in the 90s they replayed this commercial alot it really captured black love in all its innocence I miss watching these type of commercials which were like mini movies especially those early 90s black McDonald's commercials that really showed that everyday black experience that we as black people enjoy and experience everyday such fun times. And now fast forward to the new generation of youtubers who are now making short films of the black experience recognizing it all started and was motivated by commercials like these which shows that films don't have to be 20 minutes or more to be good as long as the directors gets to the heart of the subject and the actors or actresses display the right facial expressions and the right physical movements that are needed at the right moment that it could leave an impactful lasting impression on generations that view it years later
My mother bought these CDs. They were good. 😂
BET ran this commercial back to back to back in the 90s! This made me smile so much! Btw my mom order these tapes! 😊😊
I remember it showing in “House Party” 😂

Thank you for adding this to your channel! 💟
Me & my sisters loved this commercial as kids, when I would ask for something my older sister would say “oh no my brother, u got to get your own” 😂
I remember this, 😆
I was brought to this commercial while watching "Def from Temptation", and realizing Flash from "The Five Heartbeats" was in this commercial.
When ever someone ask me to borrow anything I always say no my brother you’ve to buy your own
Madlib sampled this for Westside Gunn! love it!
I'm here because of House Party
Needed this 🤣!! Was just thinking about The 5 Heartbeats! JT & Duck!
Man, thanks for the memories!!
Too Classic!
I still got the cassette tape lol
$19.98 + $4.00 shipping in 1987 ?! That would be like $50 today! People today would never be able to understand even the basic concept about what it was like to have to BUY music.
And the fact it took 2-4 weeks just for you to get it!
I use to love when this commercial came on when I was growing up!!
It's Flash from The Five Heartbeats. I guess it was too lonely at the top!
😂😂😂😂
I ordered them. The Emotions, So I CAN Love You . Still my jam.
