Old lead batteries are recycled. EV batteries aren't, solar panels aren't it's very expressive to do so. The blades off the windmills by me, 250 or so windmills. These blades are failing within a few years of service. The dust/dirt is chipping the leading edge. The power companies put them in the local landfills. That didn't last long. Now the blades are stacked up. They can't be recycled.

My wife did a quote to replace a battery on a Chevy volt that had 75000 miles on it. It needed a new battery the cost of that battery was $23,000.

Amazing technology - how much did it cost to fully charge, on average? That particular car is really well designed - the draw for me is the 'fuel' cost - but the biggest draw for me is the incredible lack of moving mechanical parts, and how little can go wrong because of it. We could have been developing these since the late 1800s, if not for the Oil companies, and their propaganda. Look at these comments...

The politicians are blaming Americans for being to lazy to work and to pay their own rent. They say when they pay our rent we want them to continue paying our rent because oh well we got lazy by getting this help. Biden paid $187 Trillion for the first migrants to cross over into our country and we as tax payers paid the bill for this and they were sent anywhere in the United States they wanted to go to also at our expense. But yet we are too lazy to qualify for more stimulus. We have to beg while foreigners get the cream of the crop and 1st. priority. Our tax dollars will continue to pay for these migrants for many many years to come. I hate the lame excuses Congress uses to stop us from getting the help we need in a poor economy and Covid-19 and all the other hell we are forced to face right now.

Tom H, I totally agree with you....I get it...I work in engineering at one of the big three, I understand the need for cleaner vehicles, their is so much more to this than overloading our current infrastructure, these electric vehicles can go 300 miles on one charge, can anyone imagine 10 million vehicles be charged at one time???? What about landfill operations for dead batteries???? I could go on & on....

1. Make it cheaper, if it costs less than much of the opposition dries up with just that.
2. Make it reliable, sun doesn't always shine and the wind doesn't always blow.
3. Make it available, not every place has reliable sun exposure or wind for those methods of power and grandma's heating in winter can't just up and die because the wind isn't blowing.
Right now none of the energy options the Dems are pushing meet even ONE of those categories.
Wind and solar aren't cheaper OR reliable and if you listen to the rhetoric they don't consider hydro "green" anymore.
The energy situation is much like the varus response (spelled incorrectly on purpose because CZcams the "Ministry of Misinformation") the politicizing of the energy situation is just gonna make things worse and slow any effective response by ACTUAL science.

@@michaelguinn5736 hi I saw a documentary a couple yrs ago on CZcams (b4 they had total control) I dont remember the name but I van find out but it was basically about how there isn't any clean or renewable energy, not really because everything that claims to be better for us still pollutes in some way and in some cases, some of them do more damage than if we were to go back to gas or another "harmful" energy. Like say solar panels are 1. Not economically viable and 2. The material they're made out of either takes so much energy to make or its toxic to make them that they aren't a good choice for renewable or cleaner energy, they basically have a massive carbon footprint. Does this sound about right to you? Oh and there was a huge scandal about tree's energy or ugh i cant remember. I'll have to find that doc and watch it again but i remember it made me cry and i am not one to cry over the earth.
